Bishop Jack Willoughby named the baby, Gregory Styler Gillen. The Relief Society was reorganized reorgan-ized Sunday. Beulah Rowley was named president. Claire Peterson and Helen Memmott will be her counselors. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Taylor and son, K.m and friends, all of Las Vegas, spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norvel Christens en. Mr. and Mrs. Deon Gillen took their family pine-nut hunting in Oak City Canyon Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stanworth are the proud parents of a new baby girl born Monday. Congratulations Mr. Dick Kent of Salt Lake spent a few days with his sister, Ethel Skeem. Jolynn and Terry Stanworth, children of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Stanworth, celebrated their birthdays birth-days recently. Cheryl Roundy had her third birthday and Shane Rowley celebrated cele-brated his 8th. All these children proudly paid their Birthday Pennies to the Primary Hospital. Oasis Primary has candy for sale. Anyone wanting to buy is asked to contact one of the Oasis Primary ' teachers. The delicious candy is packed to store in a year's supply and in such a manner for overseas shipping. Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Messinger of Beaver spent Tuesday with Mrs. Messinger's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Val Styler. Their little daughter stayed with her grandparents while Mr. and Mrs. Messinger went into Salt Lake City on business. Verda Stanworth spent the week with her daughter and family, Mr.' and Mrs. Alan Summsion and getting get-ting acqua nted with the new grandchild, a grandson. Mr. Stan-j worth went up Saturday to bring Verda home. Kevin Styler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Styler, had four teeth extracted ex-tracted and an operation performed on his jaw Monday in Provo. Kevin feels much better but I'll bet I can guess what he wants for Christmas just his two front teeth. Sandra Pace visited in our Sunday Sun-day School Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Memmott and Glenda spent Saturday with their son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Berdell Memmott. Merrilee Memmott and Penny Memmott celebrated their birthdays birth-days Saturday with a combined party. 19 guests were on hand for the party. Erma Skeem spent a few days in Salt Lake this week with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Skeem. SISTEHS MEET IN SALT LAKE While in Salt Lake City last week Mrs. Rose Nichols met and visited with her sisters, Ella Brown, of Lordsburg, N. M.; Mr. and Mrs. Alton Al-ton Donnelly, of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Dora Gull, of Salt Lake. The group then motored to Benjamin Benja-min where the girls visited the home where they were all born. In the evening they joined another an-other sister, Lottie Neureen at Standardville, where they spent an enjoyable evening. The next day they drove to Meadow Mea-dow where they spent the day visiting vis-iting with relatives and friends. A. will meet in the auditorium, Wednesday, Wednes-day, Oct. 3, 7:30 p.m. This will be the opening social of the PTA and will feature "Back-to-School". All parents are urged to be present. COMMUNITY CHURCH SERVICE Church services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Delta Community Com-munity Church with the Rev. John Browne of Wasatch Academy, Mt. Pleasant, in charge. After regular service, which starts at 11:00 o'clock, o'-clock, Mr. Browne will conduct Installation In-stallation services for the new church officials. Sunday School for children will start at 10:00 o'clock on Sunday morning and every Sunday through out the month. All are Invited to come join us in Sunday School and worship' services. Nursery care is provided during church services under the direction of an adult. Married . . Douglas Carter and Betty Chap-pell Chap-pell were married Friday in Ruth, Nev. Douglas is the son of Gladys Carter, of Hinckley and Betty is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dell Chappell, of Lyman, Utah. The young couple were united in marriage by Bishop Calvin Prest-wich Prest-wich of the Ruth Ward in a double r.ng ceremony. Present were their parents, a brother, Sidney Carter and his fiancee Miss Luwana Peterson, Peter-son, Elizabeth and Jeddie Judd and his sister, Louise Stevens and husband, hus-band, whose home the marriage took place. The 'bride was lovely in a white fur trimmed brocade satin. They will have a reception in Wayne, County later on. A Deseret Garden Club Reports The Deseret Garden Club would like to express their thanks to the public for their support in helping to raise money for the West Millard Mil-lard Hospital Fund during the Days of the Old West celebration. The money taken in on the quilt and doily amounted to $304.00. After Af-ter expenses of $29.00 were paid the remaining $275.00 was turned over to the West Millard Hospital Association. The Garden Club worked work-ed hard on the quilt and doily project, pro-ject, but could not have made it a success without the generous support sup-port of the public. Ruevo Crafts of Hinckley held the lucky ticket on the quilt and Faye Howell of Delta was the winner win-ner of the netted doily which was made and donated by Lucretia Teeples.
