Show Hin ckley CLABA STEWART At the close of the dance festival "Especially For You", held at the University of Utah Stadium Saturday Satur-day night, Rex Campbell, of the uenerai rsoara 01 loung Men s Aiu-tual Aiu-tual Improvement Association, announced an-nounced over the loudspeaker, there were more than 50,000 people who had viewed the performance. If you were not one of that number, num-ber, make a vow to see it next year. I have seen it many times and j it still overwhelms me. When you think of more than 7,000 trained dancers from all over the church; from the northwest, from Canada, Kansas City, Missouri, Texas and all over the western states, you can't afford to miss it. I think the ! most thrilling moment was the! posting ot tne colors. Alter the colorful grand entrance of all the dancers on the field, the lights came on and as the huge flag! floated in the breeze all those thousands stood and sang "The Star Spangled Banner, long may it i wave." It was really touching. The j dancers just seemed to flow on and off the green in their colorful costumes. Not a moment lost. It was truly magnificent. We also attended "Promised Valley" Val-ley" in Kingsbury Hall. The orchres-tration, orchres-tration, lighting, scenery, acting, and singing were superb. Oh our church programs are just the greatest. Alice Gae Bliss and Mel- don Jay Wright were the two people peo-ple chosen to dance from our ward. Sunday evening Lars Bishop brot his seminary students from Payson High Schoil to give the program. It was presented in the form of a final judgment of a candidate. It was very impressive. The music, a vocal solo, also a musical reading and singing of the heavenly choir led and accompanied by students, with the congregation joining in, was beautiful.
