We went to Salt Lake Monday and our son-in-law, Olen Sheriff, was operated oper-ated on for stomach ulcers, Tuesday, Tues-day, in the LDS hospital. When we came home Thursday, he was reported re-ported doing fine. We "brought our little granddaughter, grand-daughter, Jerene, home with us for a few days, then Olen's father, Mr. Guy Shriff and wife, of Lynndyl, came down Friday night and took her back home with them, as they were going up to see Olen. We went deer hunting Saturday and who should we meet, up a canyon between NephI and Levan, but Guy Sheriff, and Benny and Boyd Schena and Ray Hoelzle, also hunting deer. When we met them they were also looking but never finding any deer. One thing we did see high in the mountains, were two elk, one a bull and one a cow, lying dead and spoiling and a thousand hunters around, j What a shame!
