Show Millard County Chronicle Thursday, July 28, I960 Approximately 15 Delta Witnesses to Attend Confab Delta will be well represented at the coming district assembly of Jehovah's Witnesses in Salt Lake City at the Utah State Fairgrounds Coliseum, August 4-7, as approximately approxi-mately 15 members of the local congregation have completed plans to be in attendance at the four-day convention. Donald Kozina, presiding minis ter for the local group, explained, "We, as well as Jehovah's Wit nesses all over the world, eagerly anticipate the assemblies this sum mer since they provide much mtor- mation and instruction that Is beneficial bene-ficial to us as ministers as well as to the communities in which we live. These conventions are not revival re-vival meetings," Mr. Kozina continued, con-tinued, "but are devoted to lectures and discussions on a variety of Bible subjects along with vivid de monstrations and helpful instruc tion on how to make this informa tion we learn serve a practical and useful purpose in our daily lives as Christians." "An outstanding aspect of these assemblies held by Jehovah's Wit nesses," Mr. Kozina pointed out; "is the family atmosphere that pre vails. The children are not left at home nor are they shunted aside to receive seperate attention, tout share with their parents the mature spiritual program. This greatly aids in strengmening rne ianuiy circie. The climax of the convention will come on Sunday afternoon, August 7, when L. A. Swingle from the Watchtower Society's world head quarters in Brooklyn, New York, will address an . expected audience of more than 6,000 on the subject of "Security During 'War of the Great Day of God the Almighty.'" Mr. Kozina stated that this lecture "as well as the entire convention program pro-gram is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend without with-out obligation." "I am sure that we from Delta, as well as all others in attendance will be greatly benefited spiritually by this convention," Mr. Kozina con cluded.
