We hope he will soon be out and a-round a-round again. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Memmott had home over the weekend, their children, Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Hansen Han-sen from Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Memmott from Stockton, they came down to see the opera their sister, Glenda took a leading part in. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Memmott will spend a week in Manti, working work-ing in the Temple there. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Boolhe and family from Salt Lake City spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Cal Boothe. Mrs. Lois Greene received word from Idaho that her little neice, Melody Greene had died of a heart operation. She was the four-year-old daughter of Mr. and -Mrs. La Ron Greene of Orthelo, Idaho. Our sympathy goes out to Dee Greene and his family. Steve Terry, from Ely, New, visited visit-ed his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Terry and family over the weekend. Mrs. Henrietta Barben returned home from California after a visit of ten days. Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Schear and mother, Polly Schear stopped over with her on their way home to Ogden, Utah. Many of our people attended and enjoyed the school opera, Thursday and Friday nights. Sunday night the program was given by High Councilman, Clark Bishop. Talks were given by Victoria Victo-ria Jenson, LaVeda Bishop and Clark Bishop. The Young Ladies chorus, Verla Jenson, Sharon Clark, Shirlee Shields, Choral Clark, June Losee, Bonnie Abbott and Yvonne Shurtz, sang two songs. A large crowd attended. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Clark are sporting a new Buick car. "Congratulations". "Congrat-ulations". Mrs. Rachel Bulow from Richfield visited over the weekend with her brother, George Jenson and family and with Tressa Jenson and Rex Jenson. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Pace returned to Delta Saturday from a stay of three weeks in Las Vegas, Nev. Their daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Humphries, drove a car down for her parents, and made the trip home with them. Mrs. Edythe Hughs, school teaching teach-ing in Las Vegas, Nev., is spending this Easter vacation week in Delta with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clay-son Clay-son Cahoon. Her husband, Mike, was here Monday. CARD OF THANKS The entire family of Halley Jensen Jen-sen wish to express their sincere appreciation to the many wonderful wonder-ful friends and neighbors who so faithfully helped in any way at the time of illness and death of their mother and grandmother. The Young Family MRS. DORA ROSE Mr. Ivo Ogden made a trip to Salt Lake last week to check with his Dr. The Dr. informed him to do no work on the farm, or elsewhere, for three more months. Mrs. Zelda Ogden visited at Las Vegas, Nev. While she was there she attended a farewell testimonial for Allen Sampson, son of Bishop and Mrs. Arden Sampson. Allen has been called to fill a mission in the Northern Canadian Mission. Lo-Raine Lo-Raine and RaNae Stewart returned with her to spend a few days with the Ogdens. These girls are niece's of Mrs. Ogden and daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Stewart, formerly of Hinckley. Bishop Sampson is a brother of Mrs. Ogden. Mr. and Mrs. Fay De Leeuew and children from Murray were visitors also at the Ivo Ogdens. Miss Gay Ogden and Miss Elcie Jensen spent the weekend with their folks. They are still attending the CSU at Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. William Bunker visited vi-sited in Price with their family, Mr. and Mrs. DaWayne Kimber and family. On Friday afternoon, Mrs. Bunker and Mrs. Kimber attended a luncheon and fashion show held there. Mrs. Zola Bunker informed us that she has another new grandchild, grand-child, by adoption and that belonging belong-ing to Mr. and Mrs. Jay Cottle, (Ju-lene). (Ju-lene). This Is the second adopted child for the Cottles. Mr. and Mrs. Cottle are residing at Malta, Idaho. Mr. Jeivy Fowles visited in Sutherland Suth-erland with his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fowles. Jerry is a brother of Jacks. Miss Karla Shields from Delta, spent Sunday with Miss Barbara Abbott and attended Sunday School with Barbara. Miss Pauline Black and Mr. Dwight Cluff from Delta were visit ors at Sutherland on bunaay. Mrs. La Rue Rigby and little son, Douglas, visited with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderson and David. Mr. Duane Erickson spent the weekend with his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Erickson. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Witbeck spent the weekend with their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Johnson. Miss Nancy Skidmore visited with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Evan Skid-more, Skid-more, Brent, Nona and Julie. Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Larsen returned re-turned from Arizona where they have been for the winter months doing temple work. It's good to have back with us all of our neighbors neigh-bors who have been away for the winter. Mrs. Emily Young has been ill for the past few days. We sincerely hope for her speedy recovery. Mr. Ken Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bishop of Delta visited in Sutherland on Sunday. Mr. Charles Sledge was also a visitor on Sunday. Sun-day. High Councilman Thurmon Moody, with other mem'bers of the Stake Presidency and High Council, spent Sunday in Callao. The Stake Sunday School Superintendent and other members of the Sunday School Board were also in attendance attend-ance there. Miss Shirley Sheriff made the trip with them. Patriarch Hogan visited on Sunday Sun-day with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Anderson. Ander-son. Paul Johnson was advanced to the office of a Priest on Sunday and was presented by Bishop Johnson John-son to be sustained as such. Mrs. Edna Penrod stopped in Del-to Del-to to see her sister, Mrs. Frances Bohn on Thursday. Mrs. Penrod attended at-tended the funeral of Mrs. Halley Jensen. The talk In Sunday School was given by Daniel Henrie. The Sunday Sun-day night program was given by the M. J. Moody family, consisting of talks by Mr. and Mrs. Moody and a vocal solo by Karen. The MIA Music Festival will be presented on Tuesday night and will be under the direction of Mrs. Zoe Fowles, chorister and Miss Jill Tlppetts, organist, with Mrs. Eva Dean Moody, Mrs. Shirley Owens an J Mrs. Velda Pace, MTA officers assisting in the required needs. Congratulations to Miss Bonnie Bunker and Mr. Merril Peterson for their forthcoming marriage. The beautiful diamond which has adorned the finger of Bonnie, is the answer to the added sparkle in her eyes which has been highly noticable these past few days. The Junior High and High School operas are in the past for another year, except for the memories for the performers and instructors and attenders. These are the things benefical and of lasting qualities to the promotion of advancement for our community. Congratulations to all concerned. Miss Frances Suth Walters, o senior at Westm-ns'er College in Salt Lake Cily, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. I. Walters, Delta, is a member mem-ber of the College Concert Choir which is making a 12-day tour thru nearly 20 cities in Idaho, northern California, and Nevada, presenting programs in churches and at high school assemblies. The tour begins April 20. Miss Julia Bogh, attending CSU at Cedar City, was a weekend visitor vi-sitor with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Bogh. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bishop end young sons, Greg and Bob, arrived in Delta Saturday for a visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Lay- ton Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Iceland Ice-land Callister. At the end of the week they will return to Hayward, Calif., where Mr. Bishop teaches languages in the high school. Mrs. Richard (Tharla) Holyoak and young sons, Terry and Randy, are Delta visitors this week with Mrs. Holyoak's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tharol Larson. They have been living at Coalville and will soon be settled in Monticello, where Mr. Holyoak has a government post in agricultural work. Pvt. E2 Victor Hunsaker, who has completed his basic Army training at Fort Ord, Calif., is visiting in Delta with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orlan Hunsaker. His brother, Terry, attending U. of U., was home for a weekend visit with him. After his stay at Delta Victor next reports re-ports at Fort Sill, Okla. Mary and Cleo Christensen are the proud parents of an adopted baby boy, born March 23. The new baby weighed five lbs. and 8 ozs. Mrs. Tharol Larson and Mrs. Rulon Ru-lon A. Callister were in Nephi Saturday Sat-urday to attend the luncheon that marked the district convention of the Federated Women's Clubs. Mrs. Larson's sister, Mrs. Rita Andrews, of Nephi, is district president and presided at the affair. A feature of the program was honoring the five mothers of the year from the district, dist-rict, of whom Mrs. T. Clark Callister, Cal-lister, of Fillmore, was one. j35jStjltir MRS" EDNA CHRISTENSEN I We are glad to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Bill Talbot home again. They have been living in Caliente, Nev., for quite a while. Bill works on the railroad, but has been transferred to Black Rock, so they are able to live at home now. Mrs. Karene Davis spent several days in Salt Lake City. She visited with her mother, who had come from her home in Junction City, Oregon to attend General Conference. Confer-ence. They returned re-turned home Wednesday bringing Mrs. Eliason and the three small children home, including the baby daughter born in Salt Lake recently. Mr. and Mrs. Maylon Erickson spent last week in Deseret where Maylon kept busy shearing sheep. Brent Cropper, on leave from the Navy, is spending several days at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester Cropper. The Navy seems to agree with Brent, he looks real good. Mrs. Beverly Eliason had a "Balloon "Bal-loon Bust" party for her Bee Hive girls and the Boy Scouts, Tuesday evening. They all had a fine time. Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Western and Fern Warner attended a funeral in Fillmore Tuesday for Fern's aunt, Mrs. George Rowley. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Deardon from Garrison spent Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Warner. On Wednesday they and Mrs. Warner attended the funeral for Faryl Bushnell in Fillmore. Thir-za Thir-za Webb also attended this funeral. Mrs. Eva Robison and daughter, Eva Alice returned from a week's stay in Salt Lake on Saturday. Sunday Sun-day Eva Alice went back to Salt Lake on the train. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Bennett went to Magna Saturday to visit a while with Mrs. Bennett's daughter, La Preal Justeson and family. Mrs. Henry Brunson and lady friend from Fillmore visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Western Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Moody went to Ogden Sunday returning that night. They found Larry feeling pretty good. He is up and around on crutches and expects to be released re-leased from the hospital in a few days. He wants to thank everyone who has remembered him with cards and letters. He appreciates everyone. Russell Black was home from the CSU over the weekend. Douglas Torrens left Sunday afternoon af-ternoon for Salt Lake City where he entered the mission home Sunday night. We were happy to have Phoebe Black Williams and her sister, Dora Black Western and husband, Myron My-ron Western visit our S unday School. It always seems good to have old-timers return. The Western's West-ern's live in Pocatello, Idaho and Mrs. Williams lives in Twin Falls. Mrs. Garold Moody and Mrs. Josie Moody went to Provo Saturday to buy some shrubs. The program in church Sunday nisht was under the direction of High Councilman, Orvil Jeffery, with musical numbers by the ward choir. Speakers were James Sampson. Ralph Erickson. Newel Knight and Orvil Jfffery. It was a very fine meeting. Mrs. Nora Cropper and son, Vincent Vin-cent spent Saturday in Salt Lake They brought Neva Cropper to Deseret De-seret with them for a short visit with friends and relatives.
