Serve it informally from a huge tureen with grilled frankfurters cooked over fireplace coals or hefty sandwiches made from home-baked ham or a roast. Other good accompaniments include mustard, dill pickle strips and steins or glasses of light, bright beer. The appetizing golden color of the soup comes from its base of aged cheddar cheese. The tantalizing flavor is from a small amount of beer in combination with more familiar seasonings. No matter what our thoughts have been throughout the year; No matter what the tension or pressure of living; No matter what anxiety lies heavy upon our hearts, there is much we can do by reaching reach-ing out at our neighbors. When we feel ourselves begin to find fault with someone, suppose we render him some service. We think we don't touch the world with our influences, in-fluences, and sometimes in observing observ-ing the lives of our fathers, we may suppose that there are some who lead untroubled lives free from the heartaches, from the reverses, re-verses, from the cause of worry that are with all of us. The less we know about others the more likely we are to make this error. And to get to know more about others we must begin where we are; we must begin with courtesy and consideration in our homes and then.the reaching out to our neighbors neigh-bors will have effective results.
