Show i LEAMINGTON EI Finlimon Sand hill parties were the vogue for Easter weekend even under a cloudy sky. The scent of sagebrush bonfires filled the air. Cars were parked thick on the road side and the hills were covered with child ren rolling brightly colored eggs. Mrs. Janice Nielson Larsen spent the past week with her family, Mr and Mrs. Clinton Nielson. Her husband drove from Ely, Sunday for Easter dinner and they returned return-ed home Monday night. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Barton were at the Rulon Dutson home over the ' weekend. Mrs. Clara Grygla Johnson had all her family home for the weekend: week-end: Frank from school, Robert from work in Bingham, Shirley from Nephi, and Maurine, her hus band and children from Eureka. Miss Marlene Anderson of Levan spent Sunday with Mrs. Walker Finllnson, and family. Rich Finlinson drove to Salt Lake City Wednesday and Thursday on business. Mr. and Mrs. Rolf Robinson of Sprlngville spent Friday to Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hansen and their family spent Saturday in Scipio visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Quarnberg and family visited Saturday in Scipio and spent Sunday in Leamington with Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hansen and in visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. Welby Finlinson spent Saturday in Meadow visiting with family and friends. When they returned they found Arlyn had returned from his trip to Kansas Kan-sas City. The track team flew there to compete in the races. The relay team on which Arlyn runs won 3rd place. Mr. and Mrs. Willy Lovell and family, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Will-den Will-den and family spent the Easter weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lovell and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Mc Cann. They had a family dinner Sunday to celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lovell's 49th wedding anniversary. anni-versary. Mrs. Lorna Wichmann and daughter daug-hter Betty Ann, left Sunday night to spend a week or two in Hunts-vllle Hunts-vllle with her sister, Mrs. Harold Wangsgard. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield, Mr. and Mrs. Burton Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Nielson, Mr. and Mrs. Rich Finlinson and Lorna Wichmann attended the Elders banquet in Delta Saturday night. An excellent dinner was prepared by Hatch's Cafe. Mrs. Finlinson and Lorna Wichmann sang on the program. Master Neil Finlinson and Jay Grygla boarded the train Sunday to go Into Salt Lake to visit Mr. Roblson, a teacher of theirs who Is ill at the Veteran's Hospjltal. They returned on the late train. Sunday Sun-day night. Mrs. Margaret Bradfield drove to Mayfield with Mr. and Mrs. Laurence Lau-rence Bradfield Saturday. Mrs. Dorothy Griffith from Fallon, Fal-lon, Nev., is visiting with Margaret Bradfield. Miss Lilace Christenson of May-field May-field visited with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Ru-lon Dutson Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Nielson and Brenda drove to Provo Friday on business Mr. and Mrs. George Trovtao, daughters, Terry and Fran, of Salt Lake City spent Thursday to Saturday Sat-urday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nielson. Niel-son. Mrs. C. Paxman, her son and grandson, Mrs. Coleen Paxman and her two children of Las Altos, New Mexico, spent Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Bevan Nielson. Mrs. Nielson Niel-son had planned an Easter Party for the group. Mr. and Mrs. Rolley Larson and family spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Nielson and children drove to Kanosh to spend Easter Sunday. Mr. A. M. Harder had supper Sunday night with Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson Mrs Floyd bradfield drove to Fillmore Fill-more last Thursday to take her mother home. Mr: and Mrs. Oren Nielson and son, Mr. Thello Nielson spent the weekend at home with Mr. and Mrs. Josia Nielson. Mrs. George Allan from Nephi an aunt of Mrs. Wells Nielson visited vis-ited Sunday at the Wells Nielson home . Mr. and Mrs. Bus Nielson of Mil- ford stayed Saturday and Saturday Satur-day night with Mr. and Mrs. Wells Nielson. The C.R. Williams family had a get-to-gether Easter week end. Home were Mr. and Mrs. Lee Williams Will-iams and children from Fallon, Nev ada, Mr and Mrs. Tom Williams and family from Milford, Mr and Mrs. Bus Bennett and son from Tooele and Mr. and Mrs. Dern Will-lams Will-lams and family from Fillmore. Mr. and Mrs Clinton Nielson their two boys, Alan and Steven and Mrs Janice Larsen spent Saturday in Salt Lake visiting friends and relatives Next Sunday night program in Sacrament meeting will be given toy a Ward teacher beat. Sunday night services were given giv-en by the Seminary students. It was under the direction of Mr. Ris-immay, Ris-immay, the instructor. Willy Lovell Lov-ell conducted. Mrs. JeroM Lovell played a violin solo before the Seminary students retold the Easter Eas-ter story in songs and talks. It was enjoyed by all attending. Kay Lovell was ordained a tea- Afirnliain Mrs. Afton .Fullmer Easter Sunday and not a very warm Easter. A few welcome show ers and the spring songs of the birds in the trees, make us so thankful for the Easter time again. A nice Easter program in Sunday Sun-day School was very much enjoyed Clark and Reva Bliss spent last Sunday in Kearns with Clark's brother Earl Bliss, and family. This Sunday Stanley Bliss and family will join them in a trip to Lehman Cave in Baker, Nev. Stan- lev lives in Payson. We drove out to Dugway Mountain Mount-ain With daughter Marilyn and her husband, Olen Sheriff and the children, chil-dren, Rusty, Teffie and Merril. Then over the old Pony Express and Overland Stage route thru Fish Springs, then hunted Geodes. We enjoyed riding around in the hills, noted lots of sheep herds out there. Sherman and Gladys Tolbert drove to Salt Lake Friday for a medical check-up for Gladys, and while speaking of the Tolberts, little Wanda Lee painfully cracked a bone In her foot while high jumping and must spend the next three weeks on crutches. Jerry and Marilyn Blanch from Los Angeles, with little daughter, Toni, are visiting over the .weekend .week-end with the Karl Murrays. I hope they arrived in time to see Gus and Eva Taylor (Jerry's mother) befort they returned to Othello, Wash., via Burley, Ida., (Eva's home town). It was so nice to see Gus and Eva. We really miss them as we do everyone that leaves our little town. The Relief. Society wants to thank everyone that helped with the bake sale Saturday in the M & L Market. We want to thank the store manager and those who baked and those who bought the goods and also llolbrooks for the eggs that were colored and sold. It was a real success, Mrs. Dee Brush of Henderson, Nevada, spent a few days this week with the Garland Johnsons. Mrs. Brush Is Garland's sister, Mora cher Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield, and sons, Mrs. Bradfield's brother and his family drove over to Fill more Sunday morning to spend Easter at home with Mr. and Mrs Robinson. Mr. and Mrs Will Bradfield spent Easter Sunday in Fairview with daughter Lillian and her family. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Anderson of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Sher-wood of Provo, visited with Mr. and Mrs. Randall Bradfield Sun day. Eoth Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Sherwood are Erva's sisters Mr. and Mrs. John Anderson had a large crowd of friends and relatives rel-atives call to visit Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson and their four children from Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Don Anderson and two chilrden from Springvllle. Mrs. Essie Anderson from Salt Lake Rosalie Banks and her two children child-ren from Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Mor-ris and grand daughter of Nephi, Mr. and Mrs. Dalquist and son of Mt Pleasant. . Mrs. Claudine Nielson returned home from a visit to Las Vegas. She has been staying there a few days with a girl friend she knew in France. - Th Carrot Tops ' The Carrot Tops held their first meeting on April 13 at the home of their leader, Kay Lovell. The members chose the club name and elected the following officers: President, Susan Ashby; Vice Pres., Deana Clements; Sec, Connie Hanson; Reporter, Judy Shepherd; Song Leader, Joan Ro berts. The project chosen for the year was cooking. Refreshments were served and the meeting adjourned. - The second meeting was also held at the home of Mrs. Lovell on April 19. 'The members divided into two groups. One group made Glazed Apples .while the other group made Apple Compote. The next meeting is to be held at the home of Susan Ashby. Judy Shepherd, reporter ?
