Mr. Harold R. and Gene Morris spent Monday in Spanish Fork to attend a school in mechanics and to Richfield for a soil conservation meeting Wednesday. Mrs. Emmeline Stapley return ed from Salt Lake where she spent a pleasant week visiting old fri ends. Among whom were Mary Stephenson, Mary B. Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Allen, Lucilla Hinckley, Hin-ckley, Rose Nielson, and her son Marden and family. Mrs. Lula All-red, All-red, also, took her up to Alta to see the ski resort. Mrs. Stapley said Mrs. Mary Lee was not too well. She missed her friends in Hinckley and wished to be remembered to them. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris and Karolyn spent Monday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Eklns went to Provo on Wednesday. Sunday evening's sacrament meeting was impromptu. After the opening talk by Bishop Roy Hilton. Art Reeve, Don A. Bishop and Aroet Taylor, were called on to give talks. Special music was rendered ren-dered by the choir. Jim Larsen, who is serving In the U. S. Navy and stationed at Port Huenime, Calif., received a three-day pass and visited his mother, Mrs. Oleta Swensen. He will now fly to Adak, Alaska, where he will spend his remaining six months in the navy, He and Randal and Oleta drove to Ely, on Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Don Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Stevens, at Kimberly. Old friends and relatives were happy to see Fenton and Annie Keele and Mrs. Rose Knight, when they visited here this week. Mr, Lewis Tullls brought his chnrmlne new bride from Las Vegas, to visit his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Tullis. We wish them much happiness. College students home over the weekend were Gale Bennett ana Shirlene Talbot from CSU. Friday morning I went to Salt Lake to the LDS hospital to visit George. His lung infection had cleared up and Wednesday morn ing he was taken into surgery and had his hip operated on. They were on their return trip from California Cal-ifornia to their new home in New York City, traveling by car. Funeral service for Wm. Miss Marlene Christensen visited Mrs. Walker Finlinson Sunday. Mr. Bert Trmble was in town on Friday calling on Jeff Finlinson, Mr. and Mrs. Rich Finlinson and other relatives. MIA Presents Play The M.l.A drama department under the direction of Mr. and Mrs. L. R. Swensen presented the play, "Prelude to Love" to a large and appreciative audience on Tuesday night. Those who were in the cast were Golden Cluff Sr., Calvin Skeem, Paul Damron, Phil Bennett, Joycene Spencer, Amanda Judd, Janet Reeve, Mary Warnick, Margaret Mar-garet Ekins and Dian Diel.
