Attending funeral services in Buhl, Idaho, Monday, for Christian Skeem, former resident of Oasis and Hinckley, were Mr. and Mrs. Milo Bishop, Mr. and Mrs. Heber Bishop, Mrs. Lula Cropper and Mrs. Lois Wilson of Hinckley; Mr. and Mrs. Thuro Wiley of Lynndyl. M-Men and Gleaner Party The M-Men and Gleaner class of the Hinckley Ward held an outdoor party last Tuesday night at the fireplace honoring Sebrina Ekins who resigned from being gleaner teacher for the past 5 years. Mrs. Ekins was presented a lovely gift from the class by Mrs. Vera Stevens who will be the new gleaner leader, to work with Dana Pratt, M-Men leader. Games were played and refreshments refresh-ments enjoyed by Mr. and Mrs. Edward Crafts. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bliss, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Galti. They will return Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson of Richland, Wash., came Saturday to spend their vacation with Mrs. Anderson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Pratt of Hinckley. They visited visit-ed in Tooele for a week with Mrs. Pratt, who is recovering at her son's home from a recent heart attack. Mr. ard Mrs. John Judd of Oem spent Saturday with their brother Lee Judd, and family. Walter and Bonnie Manis and children, Holly, Pat and Phil, are on a trip to Oregon. Mrs. Hepworth will remain at Hinckley at the present time. She is employed at the bank in Delta. Attend Wedding at Salt Lake Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Hepworth, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Palmer, Melvin Mel-vin Hepworth, Miss Carmen Rose, Miss Roma Hepworth and Miss Both Hepworth attended the wedding wed-ding and reception of June O. Hepworth Hep-worth and Miss Ruth Grosbeck in Salt Lake City, June 7th They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple by President El-Ray El-Ray Christensen. The reception was held at the home of the bride, in Salt Lake. Her parents were formerly resid ents ot Idaho Falls, Idaho. The young couple left on a honeymoon trip through Southern Utah and upon their returnwill make their home in Hinckley for the summer. Cleone and Arlene Talbot and children of Provo spent several days with the Loren Talbots last week. The LeGrand Blacks have moved to Salt Lake City. Beulah will attend at-tend summer school and LeGrand is working. Dick Davis and his bride are living in the Black home. Mrs. Davis' parents from Oregon, spent a few days with them. Billy and Kathleen Faris visited the Robert Faris's and the Edwin Skeem's over the weekend. Bud Carter, John Crafts, Jeff Carter, Karl Stoneking and me, made a trip to Salt Lake City, Wednesday. We visited in Riverton with the Fred Aliens. Mrs. Allen's oldest son, Ted Pierce, is with the Armed Forces in Germany an on a part time mission for the LDS Church. Mrs. Jennie Largent, of Delta is announcing the forthcoming marriage mar-riage of her daughter. Mr. Ivie is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark Ivie, of Sugarville. A reception will honor the couple Saturday evening, June 16, from nine to twelve o'clock in Delta Third Ward. Their many friends are cordially invited to attend. The bride-to-be was guest of honor at a bridal shower last week in Salt Lake City, given by her cousin, Marilyn Dowland, and sistor-in-law, Elaine Largent, at the Dowland home. Her mother and Mr. Ivie's mother, Mrs. Lillian Lil-lian Ivie, accompanied her to Salt Lake for the occasion. Lvniiilvl MARY JOHNSON Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen and family and J. A. Banks arrived home Tuesday after several days in Idaho with relatives. They also visited the Idaho Falls Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Collis Lyman of Sunset were here visiting friends one day last week. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Roper and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Nielson drove to Lakeshore for the open house held in honor of their uncle, J. Lee Andersbn. Nathan LaRue was taken to a Salt Lake hospital and under went an appendectomy late Monday evening of last week. He was accompanied ac-companied by his wife and they were taken in to the city by Mrs. Ruth Bowers. Friday Mrs. Delbert George, Mr. LaRue's mother visited with him and on her return home Saturday, reports he had suffered a relapse and would be hospitaliz ed sometime yet. Thursday, Mrs. Mary Freer, Mrs. Lois McCardell, Mrs. Eleanor Niel son and Mrs. Mary Johnson, drove to Salt Lake for the final day of the National convention of Garden Clubs, which was held during the week at Hotel Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dutson and familv came down from Salt Lake and joined Mr. and Mrs. Ray Mills and daughters for several days of fishing at Fish Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Wilcox are the proud parents of a new baby dauehter born at the Richfield hosnital Wednesday morning. Wait ing to welcome the new baby at home were four other daughters and a son. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Potts and children drove to MaDle Dell where they tried for the big catch. They returned home Sunday. Mrs. Rhea Whatcott returned home Wednesday evening from Kanosh, where she has been the nfst ten davs. Her grandson Bob broucht her home. Sunday. Wallace Holman are announcing the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Wally Elizabeth, to Mr. Jerold Bishop, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark H. Bishop. The wedding will take place in the Manti LDS Temple on Friday, June 22, 1946. A reception honoring the young couple will be held that evening in the Sutherland Ward recreation hall. Thirza Webb spent several days in Salt Lake City at the home of Dave and Oneta Moffitt Henry and Mollie Dewsnup visited visit-ed Thursday at Fillmore with Bill and Ulala Mace. Cleve and Nell Rowley visited with friends and relatives at Gar rison, Utah, on Wednesday. Reed and Anna Mae Bunker from Logan, Utah, spent the weekend at the home of Spencer and Alice Webb. Kathleen Knight returned home Sunday after having spent the past week at Kearns, Utah, with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Knight. Richard Dewsnup from Salt Lake City visited over the weekend with his parents, Layton and Ruth Dewsnup. Laurie and Richard Waller from Salt Lake City are visiting with their grandparents, Lincoln and Nora Cropper for a week while their parent are on vacation in Mexico. Arnold and Christine Damron visited Saturday in Salt Lake City at the home of Garold and Mae Jean Damron. Grant Western from Salt Lake City spent Saturday and Sunday with his parents, Marion and Myrtle Myr-tle Western. Elaine Moody left Tuesday for Ogden, Utah, where she will visit with her grandmother, Mrs. Belle Wadsworth. , Dance Honors Newlyweds A very lovely wedding dance was held Friday evening in honor of Richard and Karen Bingham Davis. Their marriage ceremony had been nerformed June 7th in the Manti Temple. The bride was lovely in a floor length gown. Miss Sharon Steele attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids Brides-maids were Joan Workman, Shirley Shir-ley Davis, Joyce Davis, Carman Bingham. Standing with Richard were Carl Dutson and George Necer of Por- iers, France. A very large crowd was in at tendance and the newlyweds received re-ceived some very lovely gifts. Music for dancing was by Bud's Band. Some of the out-of-town people present were the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bing ham, from Oregon; Morgan Jensen, Emery, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Workman, Mrs. Glenna Knight and children, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Ivie, and Bishop and Mrs. Dewey Bingham, nil of Salt Lake City. Mr. George Necer from Portiers, France, is spending the summer with the Verdon Davis family. George and Richard were bud dies while Richard was In the ser vice in France The fishermen from Deseret all returned home with the usual "Fish Stories." Everyone seemed to enjoy their trip and all had a good catch of fish. Mrs. Hazel Sheriff was here for several davs with her husband, Guy Sheriff. High councilman Thurmon J. Moody was here with the program Sunday evening. With him were Mrs. Moody, who was one of the speakers. Millard Owens and Phill Moody, who also gave talks. Phill also sang a solo and Mrs. Moody accompanied him. Mr. and Mrs. Eob Fowler came Sunday for their little daughter Elizabeth, who they left here while they made a weekend trip down to the canyons. Mr. George Corry arrived home from the Veteran's Hospital last week end. Mr. Corry had surgery for his back and is reported to be in the best of condition. Miss Jeanette Lazenby has re turned from Salt Lake City where she has been staying with her sister sis-ter Gwen. The Sunday School show of last week was quite a success and the proceeds much appreciated toward he building fund. Little Miss Terri Lynn Bennett, daughter of Dean Bennett, has a two weeks vacation to spend with her grandpaients, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bennett. Mr. Max Johnson, who has been our ward photographer, was re leased- and Mrs. Mary Henrie has been sustained in his place. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Rawlinson visited vis-ited their dauehter, on Sunday af ternoon. Mrs. Furnard Blake, San-dora San-dora has been on the sick list for a few days. Miss Nono Skidmore is spending spend-ing the summer with her sister. Marilyn, at Ogden. Marilyn will attend school during this summer. Miss Patty Taylor just returned from Ogden where she has been visiting with her aunt, Mrs. Marion Kesler. Mr. Rulon Jones transported a load of bees to California on Thursday Thurs-day returning on Friday. Mr. Easton Sampson was here Sunday to visit with her children who are staying with Eastons' sis ter, Betty Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. John Wind, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Underhill spent the week end in Wendover with Harold and Thora Wind. From re ports Harold has been bothered with a bad throat condition, similar sim-ilar to that of last year. Harry Wind has employment at Wendover so will remain with his folks Instead of working in California. Cal-ifornia. Miss Mignon Erickson has employment em-ployment in Provo for the summer and will remain there to attend the BYU this coming school year. Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Wind will trip off to California to have fun at the big square dance festival being held some time this month. They will be featured feat-ured in the folk dances are well as couple dances. Miss Bonnie Lou Johnson just returned from Logan where she has been attending Girls State. From reports Bonnie has enjoyed every moment of it, and we are proud of her eligibilty and success. Miss Ivone Ogden has returned home for a few weeks stay with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden. A group of boys and their leaders lead-ers and the Bishopric enjoyed a very exciting day at the North Hills. It seems that power pre vailed and try as they might the leaders and Bishopric submitted unwillingly to the treatment of the boys and all experienced a good old fashioned dunking in the cold mountain streams. As a result the group has planned a tug of war to take place sometime in the near future. It may be a wise un dertaking for the leaders and Bish opric to engage some stronger force for-ce to retrieve them, when they become be-come fatigued and helpless. Any way good luck. Monday was clean up day for the men and boys. A five A. M. time schedule was met by a bunch of enthusiastic men and boys, From where Junior Baker and friends are all set for their circus. Look for their advertisements on neighborhood neigh-borhood trees. The kids have had problems in staging- the event The biggest was the admission fee. Junior wanted to charge five cents, Mrs. Baker thought it would be much nicer if they charged five pins. So Junior held a meeting with his Directors then told his mother they'd taken her advice.
