Incidentally, the fact that the identification number of the Fushimi Fush-imi plane coincided with that of another plane In contact with the Delta radio at the same time gave Ralph Kelson a fe,w bad moments as Fushimi was coming In for his landing. Its number, 174G-P (for Papa), was nearly the same as the 1546-P of another plane trying to check with Delta. With both call ing, using their two last digits and letter, Ralph found himself trying to talk to two "four-six Papa's" at once. He had no way of knowing which was which, and neither did they, when he asked one "four-six Papa" to stand by for the other. He finally managed to get the full number of each. It was not necessary to organize organ-ize a search and rescue mission to find Max Humphries and Sheldon Shel-don Chrlstensen Sunday afternoon. Both boys landed at Cedar City, on solo cross country flights, only an hour and 25 minutes overdue, with more than half a gallon of gas each In their tanks. Their GS averaged 45 mph. Max, piloting pilo-ting the Aeronca Champ, started out with tank full, 13 gallons, enough to last three hours. He landed with .9 gallon left, at Cedar. "Shod", piloting the T-Craft did even worse, with only half a gallon left when he landed. He said he got to worrying about whether Max would run out of Mine and Farm-Prosperity's Team Like sugar beet farmers, Utah's miners mutt be protected against excessive imports from low wage countries.
