Mrs. Bonnie Underwood has been staying here to help Eleanor with the children. Mrs. Emma Nielson, Barta and Arvilla returned Friday evening from their trip to Fresno, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson left Saturday in their new Buick to drive to San Francisco to visit Donna and family. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Nielsen spent Friday evening and Saturday in Salt Lake. Shirley Grygla spent the week end with her family hpre. ShirW has been staying with Maurein In Eureka this winter and attending school there. Winston Christensen, returned missonary, spoke at sacrament meeting Sunday evening. He told of his experiences in the mission field in the eastern-central states. Kay, Scott and baby Virginia Finlinson are staying here with erandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Johnson for the week while Mr. and Mrs. Burnis Finlinson of Oak City are visiting in San Diego. Principal Ray Johnson and Mrs. Norma Nielson drove the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades to Delta Thursday where they enjoyed the Junior High school operetta. The Leamington Gold and Green Ball will be held here Saturday evening February 5. There will be a floor show featuring an all-girl dance, and the Bee-Hive Scout dance. Mrs. Mabel King wrote Jan. 24 from Jamaica, British West Indies, that the cruise she joined on the west coast early in January was most enjoyable. The trip through the Panama Canal was interesting, and she had been sightseeing in Jamaica when she wrote. The cruise is now ending on the east coast, and she will return to Delta. Those home from school for the week end were Arva Johnson, La-Rue La-Rue Anderson, Ivone Ogden, Lyman Ly-man Henrie, Howard Johnson, Lu-ana Lu-ana Bunker, Robert Jackson, and Scott Skidmore. LaRue Dalley, Sharon and El-vona El-vona Johnson of Cedar City visited with Arlene Ogden Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Byron Renstrom of Provo visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ike Sorenson over the weekend. Edward Cole took charge and new officers were elected. Jerry Huff is the new president; Joe Lyman, vice president; Lyndon Callister, secretary and treasurer, and Wydell Jeffery, reporter. Eud Huff and Gene Peterson, leaders, discussed desired projects with the boys and parents. The next meeting will be at Delta high school Feb. 3, in the FFA room.
