The program consisted of "fun songs" conducted by Ivy Allred with Ruth Talbot as organist. Jokes by Dol-pha Dol-pha Bishop an accordion solo by Roma Ekins, reading by Reva Talbot, Tal-bot, and a stunt under the direction dir-ection of Ruth Talbot. Following the program games were played with Betty Jane Morris in Charge. A luncheon was served by the officers. There were 43 present. Raymond Roblnson, Mario Morris Helen Black and Lowry Bishop, college students, have returned home for summer vacation. Mr. Ross Hilton of Tooele visited Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilton. Mrs. Nina Mecham, Mrs. Dorothy Robison, and Mrs. Betty Corry spent Wednesday in Fillmore. Mr. and Mrs Carl Theobald were In Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ladd Cropper and family went to Provo Wednesday to find a home to rent while Ladd attends summer school. Ladd plans on attending school for twelve weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Warnick spent Tuesday in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Eklns went to Salt Lake Wednesday on busi ness. Mrs. Beulah Black entertained the Literary Club Wednesday night. Mrs. Arvilla Workman reviewed re-viewed "The Hidden Flower" by Pearl S. Buck. Members present were Belva Morris, Harriet spend- love, Betty Jane Morris, Helen Shurtliff, Angle Pratt Joy Hurst, Phyllis Talbot, Dana Bishop, Reva Talbot, Lillian Warnick, Ivy Allred and Erma Cropper. Guests were Delma Jean Galli, Carol Bishop, Arvilla Workman, Bertha Love and Thora Petersen. A surprise party in honor of Janith iBshop's 16th birthday was held Thursday night at her home. Hostesses were Sherrie Morris, Bar Dutson bara Black Edith Petersen, and Provo this summer while Sylvia Bishop. There were forty friends pre-' Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nielson and Ali the friends of Merle and Marge Adams were extremely saddened sad-dened to learn of Merle's death following a car accident last week end near Downey, Idaho. Merle was on a fishing trip when his car hit a soft shoulder. He apparently appar-ently was thrown from the car which rolled over him as it turned over. He was rushed to the hospital hos-pital in American Falls. Also critical crit-ical in the same hospital was Mrs. Clara Adams, his mother, who com pletely coppapsed when the news reached her, The Adam's two children have been visiting here with the Clinton Nielson family. The funeral will be held at the Larkin Mortuary in Salt Lake Thursday at 2 P. M. Mr. and Mrs. John Evans visited in Mapleton with their daughter Marva for Memorial Day. Marva and son Milo and his wife and Mr. and Mrs. Evans drove to Hurricane last week for the funeral of Mrs. Rhoda Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was Mllo's grandmother. Mr. and Mr9. Milo Johnson and children spent Friday with the Evan's here. Mrs. Erva Bradfield and Nadine and Mrs. Ben Lovell visited in Salt Lake Monday. Kindergarten began for the preschool pre-school children Monday. Attending from Leamington are Sue Nielson, Marcia Hanson, Kristin Talbot, Eddie Ed-die Anderson, Allan Nielson, and Lynn Lovell. Wanda Nielson is driv ing the bus again this year. Visiting at the Jos. T. Finlinson home were Ruth's sisters Ruby and Enid, and Mrs. Trimble from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moor and daughter Elaine from Salt Lake were dinner guests at the Leonard Leon-ard Dutson home. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Dutson visited in Salt Lake and Provo with their children last week. Lenny and Lorin Holm-quist Holm-quist are here to help their grandfather grand-father in thhe hay, Mr. and Mrs. Meril Dutson visited vis-ited over the weekend at the Rulon home. They will live in Merrili Mr. and Mrs. Ward Spendlove, two sons and little daughter, have returned from a trip to California, where they visited Mrs. Spendlove's sisters. Mrs. Florence Smith and Mrs. Josephine McPhee, and families, fam-ilies, at Oakland. They returned home by way of Los Angeles and Las Vegas, Nev. DINNER BELLES 4-H met Thursday, June 3. with our leader, Rosalind Edwards. Pres. Patty Petersen called the meeting to order. After the lesson we cooked carrots car-rots and corn. Next meeting will 'be June 17, at our leader's. Mr. and Mrs. Lurous Blake and family of Salmon, Idaho visited several days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Blake Jr. While here they made a trip into Salt Lake City, taking Mrs. Blake with them. They also visited in Lehl with Mrs. Delia Blake Hatton and family. Miss Elsie Rae Blake, and Miss Eva Mae Blake, Twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. James Blake Jr. are home on a two weeks vacation The girls work in Los Angeles. They drove up In their car and visited the canyons on the way. Mr. Arthur H. Reeve made a trip to Richfield called on his daughter Marylene, and family who live in Sigard, and was surprised sur-prised to learn that she had a new baby, her sixth, three of each. Mr. Reeve brought one of his grand with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Nielson in Lynndyl. Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Nielson and family have moved into the Bill and Claudine Nielson house across the street from Dick Nielsons. Harlan Har-lan is working on the UP in Mil-ford. Mil-ford. Staying with Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Bradfield and visiting with their grandmother are Zella and Louise daughters of Mrs. Lillian Hanson of Fairview. Mrs. Rae Travato and baby of Salt Lake are visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Rawlinson and children have moved down from Provo for the summer.
