Present were members: Melba Teeples, Erma McCullough, Iva Price, Pat Teeples, Effie Niel-son, Niel-son, Lucretia Teeples, Betty Cahoon and Myrtis Peterson. Mrs. Hazel Gronning was a special spec-ial guest that day, and gave a talk on perennials, the kinds that do well locally, and types for flower flo-wer arangements and drying. She gave the garden club members mem-bers three starts each of hybrid chrysanthemums, heliotrope, oriental orien-tal poppy and anthemis to add to their gardens, for which they expressed ex-pressed their thanks. Lucretia Teeple gave a short talk on the flower of the month, the daisy. Iva Price received the door prize which was a white lilac bush. Mrs. Underhill received high guest prize. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Pace and son Nick returned to Delta Saturday, Sat-urday, after a week in California and a trip to Ensenada, Mexico for deep sea fishing with Mr. and Mrs. Reed Walker and four daughters, dau-ghters, of Eloomington, Cal. A- LYXXUYL oY MARY JOHNSON Mr. and Mrs. Irving Nielson and Karen were in Salt Lake for sev-ereal sev-ereal days while Mr. Nielson received re-ceived medical care. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Sagers were from the City with the Nielsons. Mr. and Mrs. Ottis Ivie and daughter daug-hter Donna and litle son were here from Springville for an Easter outing with the Nielsons also. Tuesday in Relief Society Mrs. Lucile Stephenson was here and gave a very interesting talk and demonstration . on good grooming and personality. Mrs. Barbara Anderson and their three children from Gunnison visited visit-ed here Wednesday with her mother Mrs. Nena Wilkins who is just home from the hospital. Wednesday evening the South Tract Garden Club presented the film on cancer. Thursday evening Mr.' and Mrs. Irwin Whatcott received a phone call from their son John and w ife I in Texas. They were calling to wish Irwin a happy birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Stephenson were dinner guests of the What-cotts What-cotts that evening. Mrs. Ernice Nielson was happy to have her folks spend the day with her Wednesday. Collier Lovell of Oak City, Mrs. Erma Roper and Mrs. Hazel Walker of Delta . Mrs. Mary Freer and Mrs. Lois McCardell made a trip to Provo Thursday for a day of shopping. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Dutson and family have moved to Delta to make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Clead Nielson received re-ceived word of a little daughter 1orn to Lt. and Mrs. Bob Nielson who are in the army in Cheyenne, VVyo. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ranks and family of Salt Lake Mrs. Maurine Miller and children of Milford and Mr. and Mrs. De- Long Banks and family of Orem joined Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Banks, Miss Gladys Banks and Mr. anj Mrs. Herbert Abeggler and children child-ren for an Easter outing at the Sand Hills. Sunday Mrs. J. A. Banks returned to Orem with De-Long De-Long and family and the others all returned to their homes. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Jacobs and children were weekend guests of the William Oversons. They returned return-ed to their home in Stockon Sunday Sun-day evening. Mrs. Lorraine Stephenson arrived Tuesday afternoon from Los Angeles Ange-les in time to have a little visit with her mother, Mrs. Mary Nielson Niel-son before she passed away at the Bishop Greathouse home. A large number from here attended the funeral services at Leamington Saturday. A graduate of Millard High School and student at the Brig ham Young University since his graduation in 1052, Alton was very active in athletics at both institutions. He was outstanding in toot Dan ana track, ana aiso was on the main five basketball team during his junior and senior years at the M. H. S. Elder Wade entered the Mission Miss-ion Home in Salt Lake City April 14. 1954, and will depart for his mission in the Central States the 21st of April. His mission headquarters head-quarters will be in Independence. Missouri. Aj2C Earl Douglas Robison land ed in Seattle Thursday on his way home from 19 months service in Korea. Several hours later he arrived at the airport in Salt Lake City, where he was met by his wife, Bonnie Black Robison. and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Robison. Doug has 30 days at home, and then he and his wife will go to San Antonio, Texas, where he will be stationed. a meeting at the school house. Mr. Douglas Allied was the speaker speak-er and discussed the issue pending pend-ing the voting next Tuesday. Mrs. Allred and Mrs. Phyllis Bennett were with him. Meeting was in charge of Jack Nelson. A piano duet was played by Miss Susan Nielson and Miss JoAnn oJhnson. Sunday evening the program in church was given by Alma Harder and family from Leamington. Talks were given by Glen and Alma Harder and Mrs. Mable Harder Har-der gave a reading. Mr. and Mrs. Izren Wiley visit ed with Mrs. Sarah Ann Wiley Saturday. They came down from Murray for the funeral In Iam-ington. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gunn and Ben Stephenson were here for the funeral of their mother and for few days visit with relatives. lAUiminQton MRS. MABLE HARDER All the niembtrs of the Louis Niel.von family were here for the services of their mother. The children chil-dren of the-Wallace Nielson family were home including twenty grand children. Numerous other relatives and friends came from far and near, too many to attempt to lit them here. An unfortunate accident late Saturday afternoon has put Wvlby Lovell in the l.DS hospital with a severely broken leg. Following the funeral, Welby with his brothers was finishing branding a few calves cal-ves when one kicked Welby directly dir-ectly in the knee. He was rushed to Nephi where the doctors ad vised spedalst treatment. An am-j bulance took him on to Salt Lake The knee bone was shattered andj the pain intense. It was hopert that an operation could be performed per-formed sometime Tuesday to set the bone and put it in a cast, so that Welby could leave the hosi-tal hosi-tal soon. Mrs. Glenna Jo Terry and Children of Ely. is visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Roper. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Coltharp of Salt Lake visited here the first part of the week. Mr. and Mrs John Piachko of Ely spent Easter with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Nielson. Mr. and Mrs. Burns Finlinson and children of Bakersfield, Cal, visited a few days Inst week with Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Finlinson. Ray Johnson and Burton Hansen have been busy leveling the school grounds for planting lawn where the children play. It Is planned to get some shade trees planted by the tennis court. Mrs. Glenna Nelson arrived last week to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Jay Nelson while her husband is being transferred from San Francisco to Fort Lewis, Washington. The family members of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Williams were home over Easter with the exception of Will in Montana.
