The Richland Irrigation Irri-gation Co. having secured an option opt-ion on the 25,000 acre feet of water offered for sale by the Deseret Irrigation Co. This new tract of land is situated immediately north and west of Hinckley, and 9 miles west of Delta. The Richland Co. have already 10,000 acre feet, there will have a sufficient supply of water to properly irrigate the entire ent-ire 20,000 acres, all of which lays nice, is easily irrigated and every acre is tillable. This project consists of 10,000 acres of "Carey Act" lands subject sub-ject to filing while 10,000 acres Is deeded lands, having been set a-side a-side or reserved for the benefit of state schools for the blind and mutes. Adrisors c5f MARY JOHNSUM Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson of Murray, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Anderson of Salt Lake City, visited Mrs. Mary Lou Nielson at the Earl Greathouse home one day last week. Mrs. Nielson is slowly improving im-proving in health. Mrs. Frank Parker of Eureka visited here with her sister, Mrs. Kate Hayes the first part of the week. Mrs. Hayes is now in Cheyenne, Chey-enne, Wyoming where her husband is working. They plan to move there soon. Tuesday evening the Mutual people went skating to Nephl. Mrs. Lois McCardell and Guy Sheriff were in charge of the group. Mrs. Mary Johnson went to Los Angeles Thursday and brought Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johnson home, arriv ing Saturday afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson have been visiting there for the past two months with members of their family, who live there. Mrs. Margie Greathouse left for Los Angeles Thursday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Farnsworth, of Salt Lake City. She will visit her daugh ter, Mrs. Kent Larson and family in Inglewood. Misses Denece Cheryl and Linda Greathouse spent the day Thursday Thurs-day in Salt Lake City. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Dutson Sunday, were Mr. and Mrs. Ballard Dutson and family, of Bluffdale, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dutson and family of Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Wiley and children from Mt. Pleasant. Plea-sant. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Dutson will be here for several days. Russell Rus-sell underwent a tonsilectomy at Nephl, Monday. Mrs. Eleanor Nielson and mother Mrs. Minnie Ashby, visited in Fillmore Fill-more and Holden Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Phill Nielson made a business trip to Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Whatcott received re-ceived word of n new baby daughter, daugh-ter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Darold Whatcott in Provo. This is daughter daugh-ter number two for Darold and Shirley. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Jncobs and family spent Sunday here with parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Overson Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. DeLong Banks and children were down from Orem over the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Banks and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Abegglen and families. fam-ilies. Sunday evening the Relief Society So-ciety were in charge of the- program pro-gram In church. Mrs. Norine Shipley Ship-ley was in charge. Talks were given by Mrs. Shipley and Mrs. Mary Johnson and Stake Board visitor. Mrs. Roma Ekins, of Hinckley. Hin-ckley. Scripture readings were given giv-en by Mrs. Hilda Thompson, Mrs. Mrs. Cora Carrington, Mrs. Anita Talbot, and Mrs. Lucille Overson. Mrs. Ruth Maher and Mrs. Rhea Whatcott gave short sketches of the lives of Florence J. Madison and George II. Brimhall and the singing mother sang two numbers. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Finlinson of rings, chains and lockets were taken tak-en to the value of approximately $300. An entrance ti the store was made by breaking out the rear window. There is no clue as to the identity of the thieves, but it is thought that tramps did the work. The Town Board posted a reward of $25 for the arrest and conviction convict-ion of the party perpetrating the crime, but to date they have not been obliged to pay same, as the thieves have evidently made a clean get-away. M ,y x 'v Revisit Helta After .JO Years Mr. and Mrs. Ad Austin, early North Tract pioneers and farmers were Delta visitors Saturday, on their first trip here since they moved 30 years ago. They now live at Mt. Vernon, Wash., and were on their way home after a trip of two months in the eastern and southern states where Mr, Austin had visited a brother he had not seen in 50 years. Mr. Austin first came to this country in 1913, and his North Tract farm is now owned by Ar-mond Ar-mond Ogden. When he and Mrs. Austin left here they had three small sons, and later had four more children, including twins, a boy and a girl. The twin boy died in his teens. Their 19-year old daughter, Margaret, made the trip with them and did the driving. driv-ing. As their time here was limited to Saturday afternoon, they could not call on all the old friends and neighbors, but enjoyed a visit with as many as they could. .They called call-ed at their old home, and had a short visit with Mr. and Mrs. Win Walker, Mr. and Mrs. John Wind, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Foote, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Underhill and Mrs. Mary Beckwith.
