Little Mary Ellen, who has been visiting her grandparents since Christmas, returned re-turned home with them. Guests at the Enoch Gillen home during the holidays were his sister, Mrs. Mamie Pearson, of Sandy, and two nephews. Parley and Ellen Lundskog of Murray. Mrs. Evelyn Hawley made a trip to Ephraim during the holidays holi-days to visit Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Holt. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop visited visit-ed in Cedar City from Thursday to Saturday with Carlos and Raina P.ishop and family, where all are fine, including the new ba'by. Mrs. Evelyn Hawley took her mother, Mrs. Annie Skeem, to Salt j Lake City Sunday, where she had an appointment with her doctor Monday. Little Miss Anne Webb, from reaver, visited with her little cousin, cous-in, Lois Peterson, during the week, while her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Don Webb, made a trip to Salt I.ake City. Mr. and Mrs. Norval Christen-sen Christen-sen have their little granddaughter Lynn Stevens, visiting them for a while. Lynn has rheumatic fever, and is improving with care In bed. and enjoying the visit with her grandparents. Mrs. Stella Hawley nnd children Pale and Marlene Catling, and mother, Mrs, II. H. Cahoon, spent Tuesday of last week in Salt Lake. Keith Stanworth went to Salt Lake City Tuesday to report for his physical for the service. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Jackson nnd family, of Moses Lake, Wash., surprised sur-prised their parents, Mr. nnd Mrs. Bob Robinson, Christmas Eve. After n visit here until Tuesday they went to Salt Lake to visit Lloyd's parents, Mr. and Mrs. George R. Jackson. Mr, and Mrs. Jerold Bennett from Salt Lake City spent New Year's weekend at Deseret visiting friends and relatives. Deseret held their Gold and Green Ball last Tuesday evening. A large crowd was in attendance and the hall was very beautifully dec-orated with the theme being, "W" ntcr Wonderland." The floor show was under the direction of Mr. nnd Mrs. Jay Warner. Those taking part were: Singers, Ina Rae Damron, Marlene Carling, Jen ice Western, Inez Ann Kelly, Anna Mae Webb, Rochelle Cropper. Dancers, Dan-cers, Elaine Moody, Gary D. Dut-son, Dut-son, Rochelle Cropper, June L. Dutson, Janice Torrens, Wayne Western, Robert Torrens and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Warner. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Winfield and daughters returned home from a vacation of two weeks In Texas. Mrs. LaVern Johnson and son Aaron from Ely, New, visited Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday with her sister Mrs. Josie Moody. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Dutson and boys visited Thursday at Fillmore with Mr. and Mrs. William Mace and family. Mr. Marion Black nnd Oral Black from Salt Lake City visited Saturday Satur-day and Sunday at Deseret. Miss Shirley Davis returned to Logan after having spent the holidays hol-idays with her parents Mr, and Mrs. Verdon Davis. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Graff and children from American Fork visited vis-ited several days nt the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Warner visited vis-ited Friday and Saturday at Garrison Gar-rison visiting with the Dearden Brothers and families. Mrs. Genevieve Larson and son Rex from Spansih Fork are visiting visit-ing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E, J. Eliason. A farewell party and dance was held Monday evening for Elder Maylon Erickson who entered the mission home Tuesday prior to leaving for the mission field. A very nice dance wns held during which a program was given: Ralph Saturday niht, January 2, Carbon, Car-bon, a class A school wondered what had happened, as the Delta Rabbits hopped all over them, and ended up with a 63-5.1 victory, over the tall boys from the bigger school. Delta was really playing ball that night, and my opinion Is, that if they cart play like that all season, it is going to take a mighty good team to beat them. Of course that is only my opinion. Carbon had a considerably taller team than Delta, and they just couldn't seem to get five men on the floor that could really "ciick". Xcw War's Iariy In Fidelity Club Fidelity Club members and husbands hus-bands ushered In the New Year with a party Thursday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A, 0. Gardner. Dinner was served buffet style, from covered dishes brought by the members. Rook was played until un-til 11 p.m. with prizes awarded to Dr. M. E. Bird, nnd Mr. and Mrs. June Black. At 11 the party went to the dance at the stake house to see the New Year In. Present for the party were Dr. and Mrs. M. E. Bird, Mr. and Mrs. W, E. Black, Mr. and Mrs. June Elack, Mr. and Mrs. A. O.
