Mrs. Ethel Waters, manager of the hot lunch room at Delta high school, and Mrs. Mary Pratt, manager man-ager from Hinckley elementary hot lunch room, are in Logan this week for training at the school being conducted at the USAC on hot lunch room management Mr. and Mrs. Albert Skidmore were in Salt Lake City last week for the MIA Dance Festival. With theme were their daughters, Muriel Mur-iel and Peggy, and Mrs. Aldene Nielson and infant daughter, Laurie, Lau-rie, who was returning to her home in Logan after a week's visit with her parents. Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Eliason returned re-turned home Thursday from a two weeks visit at California with their son, Max and family. Primary' Preparation meeting was held Frdny afternoon for all Primary Pri-mary workers. They met at the home of Anna Mae Webb. The lesson was given by Lucille Hales, who is the teacher trainer from Primary. Refreshments were ser-, ved by Eunice Black and Anna Mae Webb. Mr. and Mrs. Verle Black and daughter Kathryn from Dugway visited at Deseret over the week end at the home of Mr, and Mrs. A. T. Black. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Bishop and children from Salt Lake City spent the week-end visiting with Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Allred. Their children remained for a week to visit with their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs Melvin Black from Tooele were visitors at Deseret Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Black were visitors at Salt Lake City Monday. Mon-day. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dewsnup who have spent the winter months at Dugway are spending this week at Deseret looking after their interest in-terest here. Mr. and Mrs. Verdell Willden and children from Salt Lake City are visiting a few days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bennett. There were four babies blessed in Testimony meeting Sunday. They were Ricky Steven Cropper, son o'f Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cropper; Crop-per; Kelvin Jay Warner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay Warner; Roger Ladd Allred, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orin Allred; and Donna Lou Western, West-ern, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Faun Western. Henry Kent Dewsnup, Arpilla Scow and Evah Conk spent Saturday Sat-urday at Salt Lake City. While there Mrs. Scow attended M.I.A. June Conference for Dept. work. June danced in the Dance Festival Friday night. Barth Black, son of Mr. and Mrs. Golden H. Black left Thursday for Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas. Ho has been assigned to the Brooks Army Medical Corp. for special training. Mrs. Cliff Harris and family from Jerome, Idaho drove down for a weeks visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rom Shields. Dorothy Poulson and Dorene Shields went back to California with Mr. and Mrs. Mills for a visit. The baby of Mr and Mrs. Lee Boothe that was run over is slightly slight-ly improved. The wedding dance for Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jensen was well attended, at-tended, and a large crowd was out. Many beautiful gifts were given them for their new home. Maurine Jensen and Evelyn Davis came from Salt Lake City for the occasion. Many out of town people came for Bruce Abbott's "funeral. Are Married In Salt Lake Temple Wedding vows in the Salt Lake Temple Monday solemnized the marriage of Miss Dorothy Black, daughter of Mrs. Lucian Black, of Delta, and Mr. John Teichert, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Teichert, of Cokeville, Wyo. The ceremony was performed by Apostle Matthew Cowley, before members of the immediate families. fami-lies. A wedding dinner for the young couple was served to a party of fifteen that evening at Beau Brum mel's with parents of the bridegroom bride-groom as hosts. The bride was lovely in a wedding wed-ding gown of imported nylon net over white satin, with long full skirt and' double train K1 net satin. sat-in. Her bodice was fitted, with long shirred sleeves of nylon net, and the gown was trimmed with medallions of lace outlined with sequins. Her veil was fingertip length, and held by a cap of net and sequins. After the wedding dinner the young couple left for a honeymoon honey-moon in Yellowstone Park. The bride's going-away outfit was a suit of navy blue linen, with white accessories. They will return to Delta and be honored at a. wedding reception recep-tion Friday evening, from 9 to 12 o'clock, in Delta First ward recreation re-creation hall. A cordial invitation to their many friends and relatives relat-ives is extended to attend. There will be a program and dancing. Sutherland -MRS. ZELDA OGDEN- Rae Peterson has her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Reid of Los Angeles, Cal., visiting her. Harold Ogden is on leave at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Armond Ogden. Harold is in the 'avy and has been in the Marshall Islands. Also visiting is Beth Max-field Max-field and son, Paul. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Sanford and Lt. and Mrs. Eugene Sanford visited visit-ed in Salt Lake City Monday. Eugene Eu-gene will report for overseas duty the first part of July. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fowles visited friends Sunday. They have a new baby boy, born at Fillmore hospital hospi-tal recently. Elaine Sorenson is visiting in Salt Lake City for a few days. Neil Ogden spent the weekend visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ivo Ogden and family. Geneal Barney is visiting in Salt Lake. Ike Sorenson is spending a few days at home catching up on his farm work, Mr. and Mrs. Scott Christensen of Salt Lake City visited their mother, mo-ther, Madge Christensen, also Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pratt and family vis ited at the Christensen home. Eleanor Roberts was home for the weekend from Cedar City, where she is attending school. Mrs. Marion Church and children arrived home to visit with Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Moody and family. Merrill and Susan Nielson were also in the group of dancers. They went to see Bill's brother bro-ther Jay, who flew home from his base in California for a brief visit. Farnsworth, of Eicknell, Utah. - Receiving with the newly weds were their parents, and the bridal party. Miss Colleen Kimber, sister sis-ter of the bride, was maid of honor, nd "br'desmaids were Miss Betty Bunker, LaVenda Jones, Doro thv ElnydPT and Dorothy Bishop. Douglas Firnrvorth stood as best man for his brother, and ushers were Clair Farnsworth, Mil-Ion Star ir. Ponald Anderson and Elwood Blayden. The bride wore a cown of white sntin with long train, with a fit--1 bodice and tapered sleeves. Her veil was f'ngertip length, and she carried a bouquet of red roses. Her attendants were gowned in del icate spring colors. A beautifully decorated wedding cake graced the table in the gift room, and the hall was decorated with masses of summer flowers. DeWayne Kimber, brother of the bride, was master of ceremonies for the program. Those who took part were the DelTones, Carolyn Callister, Elaine Sorensen and Dor othy Black, Colleen Kimber accord-ian accord-ian medley, and Dorothy Bishop, piano solo, "Oh Promise Me". Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jolley, of Cedar City were on the program, with a song by Mr. Jolly, "My Hero"; with Mrs. Jolley as accompanist, accom-panist, Mrs. Jolley read the original origin-al story on the bride and bride-proom bride-proom composed by Mrs. Marvel Clayton. Mrs. Dorothy Jeffery Blayden sang a solo, with Bonnie Riding as pianist The program concluded with remarks by the young couple. LA VEDA BISHOP Mr. and Mrs. Lee Farr and daugh ter and Mrs. Val Styler visited with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Anderson and family a week ago last Sunday. Sun-day. Little Gary Anderson returned home with them and stayed a week. Then last Friday the same group went to Salt Lake where they attended at-tended the dance festivaL They visitedin Bountiful with Mr. and Mrs. Arlynn Styler and family. They returned home Sunday and Lynn Styler came home with them to visit awhile. Mr. and Mrs. Rob-ret Rob-ret Anderson met them in Nephi and took Gary home with them. Mr. and Mrs. LaVon Petsrson and two daughters from Trona, Calif., visited their aunt, Mrs. Annie An-nie Skeem last week. They arrived Tuesday and left Saturday. Mrs. Hulda Anderson of Oak City also visited with Mrs. Skeem and the Peterson folks during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Breinholt from Ephraim visited Friday and Saturday Sat-urday with Mr. and Mrs. Kelly Hawley. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hampton of American Fork visited their sister Erma Skeem, last week end and Sunday they went to Joseph, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Skeem accompanied accom-panied them. Mrs. Eathel Skeem and daughter Evelyn left Oasis last week for Salt Lake City. Evelyn stayed to visit with h.er grandmother and Eathel went on to Brigham City to attend the cooking school. Elder and Mrs. Richard Nash from Idaho stopped last Saturday on their way home from California where they spent their honeymoon, to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Skeem. The two men were mis sionary companions in the north western states mission. Jerold Bishop went to Salt Lake last Wednesday and participated in the church-wide Dance eFstival. Mr. and Mrs. James Carlos Bishop Bish-op and family from Cedar City visited Saturday and Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Bishop. Sgt. Ted Largent, USMC, who has been home to visit his mother, moth-er, Mrs. Jennie Largent, left Delta Wednesday morning to return to Oceanside, Cal. Before marriage Mrs. Jensen was Shirley Gayle Whitaker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Whitaker, of El Paso. Mr. Jensen, returned serviceman, is a son of Bishop and Mrs. Harold Jensen, of Sugarville. The young couple received best wishes and many gifts for the home they will make in Salt Lake City. Bishop Jensen was' master of ceremonies for the program during the evening, and introduced numbers num-bers by Mrs. Hale Jeffery, who sang "Because", Grant Memmott, solo, "My Hero", Mr. and Mrs. Eoh Jensen, duet, "I Love You Truly", Virgil Losee, accordion solo, Mrs. I oupnz( Willoughby, reading and Mrs. Bob Faris, reading. The new Mr. and Mrs. Jensen made short talks at the end of the program. A large number of friends and members o'f the family were pre sent, including some from Hol-den, and the bridegroom's grandmother, Mrs. Inga Lundgreen, of Manti, Utah. Mrs. Cora Harris, manager of ' the hot lunch room at the new elementary school in Delta, and Mrs. Eathel Skeem, of Oasis have returned from a week lnBrigham City, where they attended classes given on planning and cooking in hot lunch rooms. Mrs. Lula Pearson returned to Delta Friday after a visit of a week in Ogden with her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith, and their small son. Mr. and Mrs. Layton Bishop and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Johnson visited visit-ed in Salt Lake City Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Sampson, and their sister and husband, hus-band, Mr and Mrs Max Miner. Also there for the day were their sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Louetta Mortensen, from Seattle, and brothers, Merlin Sampson, Sam-pson, Logan Easton Sampson, Oregon Ore-gon and Charles Sampson, Provo, and their families. Mrs. Jane Arnout returned to her home at Comptn, Cal., Wednes day, after a visit of three weeks with her sister, Mrs. Annie Jones. Janice Western, daughter o'f Mr. and Mrs. Ray Western, of Deseret, is at the Delta hospital recovering recover-ing from an appendectomy, Tuesday. Tues-day. Mrs. Donald Day, of Oasis, is a patient at the Delta hospital, following fol-lowing surgery. Floyd Tolbert is at the Delta hospital for medical care. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Schlappi were in Salt Lake City for the June M IA Dance Festival. David Jacobs, from Torrance, Cal. is in Delta, and building another apartment on his property here.
