He also spent a day at Tia Juana and returned re-turned to Delta Tuesday night. o- Frank Walker from Pioche, Nev., and sister, Mrs. Mina Hinton of Hurricane, Utah, visited in Delta during the week with their sister, Mrs. Lemira Bishop, and at Hinckley Hinck-ley with their sister, Mrs. Clara Stewart. Mr. Walker, an early resident res-ident in Hinckley, is now 82 years od, and still teaching at Lincoln high school at Panaca. Members there were Etta Underbill, Un-derbill, Verna Shefiherd, Doris Jensen, Vivian Holman, Wanda Beckwith, Dorothy Killpack, Romania Ro-mania Bird, LaVonne Morrison, and Amelia Cole. Cuests were Peg Smith and LaRue Nickle. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Peterson made a trip to Pocatello, Idaho this week, to take Clifford's mother Mrs. Mary Jane Peterson to visit with her son, Leo. They stopped in Logan to attend the Seminary-Graduation Seminary-Graduation of their son, Arnold, and also brought him back to the clinic in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. John Fullmer visited visit-ed in Tooele Sunday with their family, and returned by way of Dugway. Mrs. Gladys Tolbert visited witn her mother, Mrs. Taylor, in Provo. She went up with Mrs. Fay Davis of Deseret. Richard and Norma Fullmer were Centerville visitors over the week-end. Thursday, Mrs. Frances Tolbert and Mrs. Frances Mitchell, of Delta visited with Erma Peterson. Jay and Richard Fullmers families fami-lies have been ill with the flu, and Richard's leg is still bothering him when he ran a knife into it acc- idently, last week. Mrs. Mary Schena went to Salt Lake with Benny, Thursday, and will visit, there for several days with Becky, who is steadily im proving all the time. Jim Brady was home Sunday to visit with his wife and children. He has been working in Hawthorne, Haw-thorne, Nev. Billy Talbot was down from Salt Lake City Sunday to see his folks Mr. and Mrs. Lee Talbot, and family. Harold and Earl Peterson have gone to California to work. Afton and her children are staying with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Tol bot, while Earl is gone. Last Tuesday evening everyone really enjoyed the one act play, "Angel Face" put on by the Mutual Mut-ual under the direction of Mrs, Afton Robinson. Miss Spilker visiting with her folks at Sandy, and attended to business over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. R. Swensen made a trip to Salt Lake City recently on business. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilton and Lula went to Tooele last Thursday Thurs-day to attend the opera, there. Their son, Ross Hilton, is the music teacher there, and has done a won derful job. The Hilton's said the opera was lovely and they enjoyed en-joyed it very much. 'Mr. Victor Terry was home visiting visi-ting with his family last week-end. He is employed in Tod Park. Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Hilton and family of Salt Lake were visiting with' Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hilton. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Allred Jr., Karen Murray. Taking the part of the little brat, of a sister. Jerry Blanch and LaVoy Young were the young men. After the play the dance directors, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Murray, led us in some square dances and punch was served. , In Sunday School, Stake Board members, Mrs. Anderson and Mrs. Gardner, gave the two and half minute talks, and visited with the different classes. In meeting Sunday evening Will-ard Will-ard Stephensen and Van Bishop were speakers and the two Will-den Will-den girls each sang songs accompanied accom-panied by Miss Hilton at the piano. Mr. and Mrs. Heber Rose, Mr. and Mrs. Laun Oliver and Emily Young surprised Alvon his birthday birth-day Wednesday, with a party. The group enjoyed playing games and they were served refreshmente' by Emily. Mrs. George Talbot, Peggy, Jerry and Kim Franklin visited in Lynn-dyl Lynn-dyl Sunday with Mrs. Fred Wilkins and Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Wilkins. Friends and relatives called cn Betsy Skeem Saturday to say happy hap-py birthday. Everyone who called was served a delicious lunch. Tuesday night there was a fare well party in the ward for James Christensen, who is leaving for the service March 11. Auer Jensen is spending the week in Wendover, Utah, in the store there while Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wind, managers, have a week's visit in Las Vegas, Nev., with their son, Bruce Little, and family. Literary Club was held two weeks ago at the home of Buelah Black. A review was given by Phyllis Bennett. She talked about Russia and on what she had learned learn-ed at summer school. Members present 'were: Mrs. Harriet Spend-love, Spend-love, Mrs. Sebrina Ekins, Mrs. Dana Bishop, Mrs. Phyllis Bennett, Mrs. Belva Morris, Mrs. Lillian War nick, Mrs. Reva Talbot, Mrs. Erma Cropper, Mrs. Helen Shurtliff, Mrs. Betty Jane Morris, Mrs. Elaine Hardy, and Mrs. Beulah Black. Guests were Mrs. Dolpha Bishop, Mrs. Bertha Love, Mrs. Ruth Talbot, Tal-bot, Mrs. Carol Bishop, Mrs. Beryl Hardy, Mrs. Nina Mecham, Mrs. Vie Robinson. A nice lunch was served and an interesting evening was enjoyed by all. Mrs. Mina Nixon, of Holden is visiting now with Mr., and Mrs. LeGrand Black. Don Morris, Hugh Judd and Jim Christensen all go into the service ser-vice Wednesday. They go to Salt Lake and then they believe, to j Fort Ord, California. We wish them the best o'f ulck and good health and may they soon be back with us. A party was held ofter church in honor of Don Morris and Hugh Judd. Many friends and teachers wished them the best of every thing. Refreshments were served and a nice time was spent by all. The Hinckley Lions Minstrel show-was show-was a great success. Alot was raised to help Mrs. Schena. The Minstrel was very good and a huge crowd turned out at every performance.
