Hollywoodites wondered about it with the recent disclosure of the findings of the Gordon Levoy Poll across the country that live video shows continue to hold an edge over films as programming preference pref-erence . . . Polling ad managers, TV editors and columnists, agency TV execs and station program managers, live production won over film by a 60-40 margin . . . Sponsors indicated the sharpest reversal in choice with only 55 per cent voting for live telecasts compared com-pared to 90 per cent last year. Bob Hope's definition of a TV set: "The box In which vaudeville was buried" ... As good as it will ever be defined . . . Although there has been no official announcement, rumors are rampant that the sponsor spon-sor will drop the Jack Smith-Dinah Shore radio show, siphoning their money into television . . . She was lovely in the traditional wedding wed-ding gown of white satin, trimmed with lace, and a fingertip veil. The brother of the bridegroom acted as master of ceremonies for the program that was given. Mr.' and Mrs. Mark Abbott and children, Linda and Dixon, drove from Orem Sunday to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Abbott, at Sutherland, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Stanworth, at Delta. Mr. Abbott returned to Orem that evening, and left his family here with the Stanworths for the week. He will come Sunday to take them home. Mr. and Mrs. Orran Ashby, from Phoenix Ariz, arrived in Delta Monday Mon-day and attended the funeral services ser-vices Tuesday for John Adams. They are returning Thursady to Phoenix.
