B. Allen, vocational agriculture teacher, and a part of the adult education educa-tion of the Alpine School District, have been held for several weeks. Sixteen men attended the class given In Alpine which was completed com-pleted last week. Arrangements are being made for a group of Highland farmers to meet for the same purpose. Beginning Saturday the Young Farmers will begin a course of 40 hours in harness repair and construction con-struction at the high school shop. HOME DECORATION There Is room for a limited number in the class in home decorafing being held at the Harrington school every Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon from 2 to 4 p. m. CAN 65c APPLE SAUCE Wards To Honor Departing Missionaries Sterling Burch Honoring Sterling Burch, who is leavine March first for the mission home prior to a mission in Palestine, a testimonial win De held in the Second ward chapel Sunday evening at 6:30 p. m. Speakers will be patnarcn Joseph H. Storrs and Mary Burch Stark, sister of the mis sionary. Remarks will be made by the missionary and his motn- er, Mrs. Claud Burch. Music will include a vocal solo by Miss Gloria Glor-ia Storrs, a violin solo toy Melvln Frandsen, and congregational singing of the hymns "High on a Mountain Top", "Here Us Pray", and "111' Go Where You Want Me To Go." The invocation will be offered by Glen Wagstaff and Will Reimschiissel will pronounce the benediction. Contributions will be accepted, which will all be used to send the missionary to his field of labor. Ralph Crystal Ralph Crystal, who leaves March 10 for a mission to Great Britain, will be honored at a test imonial in the Seventh ward Sunday at 8 p. m. Miss Ula Burgess, Bur-gess, former southern states missionary, will be the principal speaker and remarks will be made by the missionary, his brother, Bernell Crystal, and Bishop Elijah Chipman. Mary Weeks, Pleasant Grove, a niece of Mr. Crystal, will play a piano solo, the choir will sing "I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go," and "Softly Beams the Sacred Dawning", and the con gregation will sing "God Be With You". Keith Richan, president of the elders quorum, and F. Haws Durfey, president of the Seventies, will offer the prayers Contributions will be accepted all of which will be turned over to the missionary. Jensen re ported. There was a fine re sponse to the call for musicians and auxiliary executives to attend at-tend the first meeting, and the few numbers played on the tab ernacle organ were worth the price of the s course, Mr. Jensen said. , - ; The classes will continue each Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 p. m, Organists will study both reed and pipe, and the choristers will be trained in directing adults and children. There is room in both classes for additional members, Mr Jensen said and asked those who wished to register to contact their bishops. Boy Scout News AMERICAN FORK Fourth Ward Scout Troop, Fourth ward, held their Fathers and Sons banquet Thursday evening in the Scout room at the church with every scout in the ward and his dad in attendance. The tables were artistically decorated with pine bough centerpieces, and places were marked with cross sections of the pine with the name and year, the work of Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Hansen. Grace was offered by Owen Hansen, a trumpet solo was given giv-en by Jerry Chadwick and the flag ceremony was conducted by Melvin Roundy. During the serving of the meal stories were told and all three members or the bishopric spoke briefly. 'Dell Nelson gave the benedic tion. Star Scout badges were pre sented to Melvin Roundy, Jerry Chadwick and Billy Roach, and 15 boys received merit badges. The presentations were made by Ssoutmaster Welby Clements. Committee in charge of the function func-tion were Mr. Clements, Darrell Hansen, Harry E. Hansen and Floyd Myers. Mothers of the boys cooked and served the meal. Cub Scouts Cub Scout pack will meet this next Friday evening at the Presbyterian Pres-byterian Community church at 30 p. m. for their regular meet ing. All cubs their parents, and any interested visitors are invit ed, Fred Fish, packmaster said. Seventh Ward Closing the National celebra tion of Boy Scout Week, Seventh ward held a banquet Wednesday, Feb. 11, with 75 fathers and sons in attendance. Valentine furn ished the theme for the table decorations. Joseph H. Storrs, a Beaver Scout, gave the toast to the Scouts and Leland Briggs proposed one to the dads. Dick Bate played a horn solo and Gil bert Barton showed interesting moving pictures. The meal was prepared and served by the ward troop committee com-mittee and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Glen H. Varney, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Tibbetts, Mr. and Mrs. Si Bell, Mr. and Mrs. Dellis Wall and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Froelick. Assistance was given by Will Reimschiissel, scoutmaster, scout-master, and Heinz Leonhardt and Helmut Reimschiissel, assist ant scoutmasters.
