Roberts and Mr. and Mrs. David B. Roerts have returned home after spending the Christmas holidays in California Cali-fornia with relatives. Lorin F. Williams, who has been visiting his son, Kenneth Williams, and family, is leaving for Arizona to visit relatives. Mrs. J. C. Wanlass and her sis-j ter, Mrs. E. J. Hunter of Provo returned last week from Huntington Hunt-ington Park, California, where they had spent three weeks with their sister, the late Mrs. Dennis Giles, during her illness. ABOUT TOWN Among former Lehi residents and out-of-town guests attending the Lehi stake Old Folks social Wednesday were: Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fox, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Knight, Mrs. I. L. SURPRISE PARTY Nine neighbors and friends of Miss Minnie Flack pleasantly surprised her at her home Friday, Fri-day, when they brought luncheon and spent the afternoon in honor of her birthday anniversary. May, Dennis Den-nis Giles, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Peterson, and Mr. and Mrs. Rus-sel Rus-sel Giles left the latter part of the week for their homes in California, Cali-fornia, after spending a week with Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Wanlass. Mr. May's mother of West Jordan accompanied her son and daughter-in-law to the coast for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Roy E. Fran cis, also guests of the Wanlasses, returned to their home in Morgan Mor-gan Friday. Before leaving, the group, with Mr. and Mrs. Wanlass, Wan-lass, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hunter and Mrs. Otto Schwarzrock of Provo motored to Salt Lake City, where they spent the evening with Mr. and Mrs. U. A. Jones on Tuesday. FIRST WARD LEADS IN M-MEN BASKETBALL WANT ADS Mrs. Junius Banks visited from Thursday until Saturday evening in Salt Lake City with her daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Myron Burgess, and family. Mr. Banks, who accompanied accom-panied her there, returned home Friday. Mr. and Mrs. George Wathen and family of Salt Lake City were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Wathen and family Sunday. The First ward won all five of the games in the first half of the M-Men league last week, to become be-come champions of the first half, Wayne Powell, stake M-Men supervisor sup-ervisor announced this week. The Fifth ward, who won 4 out of 5 games, promises toutih competi tion in the second half, he said, and all teams are showing rapid improvement. The standing of the remaining teams for the first half is as fol-; lows: Second ward, won 3, lost 2; j Third ward won 2, lost 3; Fourth I ward won 1, lost 4; Cedar Valley : won 0, lost 5. Due to the division playoffs scheduled for Feb. 11-14 inclusive inclu-sive at Springville, the second half games have been stepped up to twice a weelj, so that the league may be completed by the Feb. 7 deadline.
