A. J. Rogers Jr., member of the district committee, was also in attendance. Bobcat awards and registra tion cards were given to 31 boys under Scout age. There were 40 parents in attendance and about 25 visitors. The Pack will meet once each month and the Dens will meet every week at the homes of Den Mothers. The week ly meetings will be in charge of a Den Chief, who will be a registered reg-istered Scout. Five Dens were organized. made up of from eight to ten boys each. Den songs have been composed com-posed by the boys and at Pack meetings skits will be presented. Awarding of the pins was made in an impressive candlelight ceremony when the pins were presented to the mothers who pinned them on the boys. Committee members are Eugene Eu-gene Shaffer, chairman; Warren J. Campbell, vice chairman; Owen Tibbetts, secretary and treasurer; Fred Fish, cub master; mas-ter; Harold Greening and Jim Dor land, assistant cub masters; Don Deveraux, Jack Cyphers, Mrs. Donald E. Ballard, 147 South Third East, American Fork, has been elected president of the Provo Shrine club, and as such becomes ambassador for El Kalah's tern pie Mystic shrine in Utah county and will direct all region activi ties on behalf of the organiza tion. Mr. Ballard, foreman of the soaking pits in the rolling mills at Geneva Steel, came to Utah five years ago and moved to American Fork in October 1946. He has been with United States steel for many, years, working in Cleveland before coming to the Utah plant. The club, which will hold its next meeting Feb. 11, plans an extensive program throughout 1948. Several events, for the benefit bene-fit of the new intermountain unit, Shriners hospital for crippled children, are being arranged, Mr. Ballard said. Numerous Utah county youngsters young-sters from families which are financially unable to provide medical treatment, are seeking admission to the new hospital.
