Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Bodily and family are moving to Vernal this week to make their home. Mrs. M. W. Wathen and daughter, daugh-ter, Darlene, were in Salt Lake City Friday on business. Mrs. Bertha Knudsen of Provo visited with Lehl friends and relatives Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Forest Littleford visited with friends in Provo Sunday. J. T. Jackson, who has been confined to his bed with an ill ness for several days, is reported to be improving. Mrs. Lowell A. Brown left Sunday Sun-day for Sacramento, California, where she will visit with her brother, Merle Fagan, who is stationed there. She expects to return in a week. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Beck and Mr. and Mrs. Rpbert Webb attended at-tended a canyon party in Provo Canyon Friday evening, with members of Mr. Beck's department depart-ment at the Columbia Steel company. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Brown and family were Bishop and Mrs. Q. Ray Hales and sons, Howard and George, of Springville, and Mrs. Howard Brown and baby daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Johnson attended at-tended the high school gradua tion of their granddaughter, Miss Darlene Wathen Thursday evening, eve-ning, remaining as overnight guests of the M. W. Wathens. Members of the Junior class of the Fifth ward Sunday School enjoyed a swimming party at Saratoga Friday evening. Kay Worthen, Richard Ball, Don Hardman, Nile Sorenson, Lee Ball and Allan Holdsworth at' tended. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Banks and daughter, Carmen, accompanied the group. A family gathering was held Sunday at the Ilyrum Gray home, honoring Radio Technician Technic-ian 2c Lynn Gray, who was here on furlough. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Dittmore and family of Wendover, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Gray and family of Downey, Idaho, Miss Joye Fage of Lindon, and Radio Technician 22c Harry Walder of New York. Russon and Miss Esther McGee, which was performed May 13 in the lovely Southeast chapel at Camp Roberts, Calif., Dr. E. Crowley of the L. D. S. church officiated. The bride wore a two-piece lilac suit with white accessories. Her corsage was of gardenias and stephanotis. Mrs. August Rose, matron of honor, was in yellow, with a corsage of talisman roses. Private August Rose acted as best man. Soldiers from the 4th Platoon, Co. C, 92nd Infantry Training Squadron, were present, adding a military atmosphere to the ceremony. Following the wedding, the young couple were honored at supper at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clive Rummond in Paso Robles. Guests included Mrs. Wilford Russon of Lehi, Mrs. Francis Hilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Watson, Mr. and Mrs. August Rose, Mr. and Mrs. El--friends wood Bunker, and Dr. and Mrs. Crowley. The bride is the daughter of Branch President and Mrs. Leonard Leon-ard McGee of Hamilton, Ohio. She had been employed at the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot for a short time before her marriage. mar-riage. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Russon of this city. He is a graduate of the Lehi high school, where he took a prominent part in athletics and scholastic activities. He recently recent-ly returned from a mission to the Northern States. The young couple will make their home at Paso Robles, near Camp Roberts, where the groom is stationed with the U. S. army. They plan a temple ceremony when Pvt. Russon is granted a furlough. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Anderson and family entertained at a family dinner at their home in Salt Lake City Sunday, in honor of the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Anderson's mother, Mrs. Matilda Phillips, which occurred Monday. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Peterson and children, Keith, Shirley, Kenneth, Ken-neth, and Glade. Mrs. Wilford Russon returned to her home Wednesday evening, after spending the past three weeks visiting in California. While there she visited at Los Angeles, Paso Robles, and at Camp Roberts with her son, Pvt, Leo W. Russon, who is stationed there. Miss Olea Merritt was delight' fully surprised at the Adolph Hunger home Thursday evening by a group bf friends, in honor of her birthday anniversary. Games and music were enjoyed, after which refreshments were served. The guest of honor received re-ceived many lovely gifts. Taylor received a telephone call Mon day from their daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Ekins, who is in Honolulu, Hono-lulu, Hawaii. The connection was exceptionally clear. Mrs. Ekins stated that she is well. and was very thrilled to hear the sound of her parents' voices again. She has been in Hawaii since before Pearl Harbor. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Burgess and Mr. and Mrs. Junius Banks were Alpine visitors Sunday.
