"Romeo and Juliet," at Kingsbury Hall Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Wilburn N. Ball and children, Diane and Robert, of Provo spent Sunday with Mr, Ball's mother, Mrs. Martha Ball. Mrs. Oral Wright and family of Pleasant Grove were dinner guests of the Lloyd Adamson's Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Carson and daughter, RaNae, and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith and chil dren, Verland and Ronnie, mot ored to Deer Creek Dam in Provo canyon Sunday, where they visit ed with Mr. and Mrs. Karl Pratt. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Alsop and family of Salt Lake City spent Sunday in Lehi visiting with Mrs. Edward Southwick and other oth-er local relatives. Mrs. Alsop Is the former Pearl Southwick of this city. Sunday guests of Mrs. Theodore Theo-dore Bateman were Mrs. Mary Walton of Salt Lake City, Mr, and Mrs. Alden Bateman, Mr, and Mrs. Wayne Bateman, and Mr. and Mrs. Royal Bateman, all of Murray. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wane Christensen were Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Rasmussen of Salt Lake City, Dr. and Mrs. Leo Ellertson and Mrs. Ted Adams, all of Murray. Miss Bessie Colledge of Ogden spent Thursday through Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Colledge Col-ledge and family. She attended Alpine Field Day in American Fork Monday with Mrs. Leona Colledge. Mrs. Sarah E. Gaisford, Mrs. Ella Christofferson and Mrs. Elsie Sudweeks attended the annual meeting of the American Red Cross in Provo Friday evening. Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Hebertson and family were Mr. and Mrs. Enos Nielsen and children of Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Beverldge and children of Pleasant Grove, and Mr. and Mrs. John Watson of Salt Lake City. Miss June Anderson, who is training at the LDS hospital, spent Tuesday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Abraham Anderson. Mrs. Clell Jackson spent Sat urday and Sunday in Midway at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh C. Coleman. Mrs. Melba Rolfe is entertaining entertain-ing members of her bridge club at her home Friday evening. Mrs. Milton Densley and two children of Riverton visited in Lehi two days last week with her mother, Mrs. A. F. Gaisford. Miss Thelma Goodwin Is visiti ing in Santa Ana, California, with her sister, Mrs. Mark Dal-ton Dal-ton and family. Mrs. Inez Peterson attended a bridal shower given in honor of Mrs. Mark Bradshaw in American Ameri-can Fork Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Trane entertained at dinner Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Glen Trane, Id. and Mrs. Kenneth Trane, and Mrs. Lettie Gudmundsen. Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Banks attended the University Theater play, "Romeo and Juliet," at Kingsbury Hall In Salt Lake City Friday evening. Mrs. Tom Roberts of Iona, Idaho, is visiting here this week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis, and Mrs. Roberts' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Roberts. Miss Lexie Gilbert returned home Sunday after a week's visit in Spokane, Washington. She was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. Homer Trinnaman, and two children, who will remain there with Mr. Trinnaman, who is stationed at Gieger Field. Mr. and Mrs. Myron Burgess and family moved into the former form-er A. F. Gaisford home on North First East, this week which they recently purchased. Miss Huitah Allred of Los Angeles, California, is spending her vacation with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney C. Allred. Mrs. A. F. Gaisford is spending spend-ing a few days this week with Mrs. Sarah E. Gaisford. Mrs. George Lewis and Mrs. Tom Roberts were Salt Lake City visitors Monday. Mrs. Elva Allen, Mrs. Suel Zimmerman and Mrs. Don Barrett Bar-rett of American Fork were Salt Lake City visitors Thursday. Mrs. M. W. Wathen spent Sunday Sun-day in Murray with her mother, Mrs. Otto Johnson, who has been ill. Sunday dinner guests of Miss Miriam Lott were Miss Evelyn Bowers, Miss Tess Johnson, and Miss Donna Hadfield, student nurses at the L. D. S. hospital. Miss Norine Fox and Miss Vera Conder entertained at dinner In Salt Lake City Friday evening for Miss Margaret Thurman, Mrs. R. J. Smith, Miss Ruth Worlton and Miss Phyllis Gardner. Following Fol-lowing dinner, the group attended attend-ed the theatre. Seaman 2c George R. McMil-len McMil-len and his wife, the former Ruth Peterson, visited Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil H. Peterson. Mr. McMillen is on furlough from the navy. Bishop and Mrs. E. N. Webb returned re-turned to their home last week, after a delightful visit In Mesa, Arizona, with their son and family, fam-ily, Mr, and Mrs. Cecil Webb and children. While there, the Webbs drove over the border into No- gales, Mexico. They also visited the Arizona temple grounds and other points of interest in Mesa. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Warner, manager of the J. C. Penney store there, who took them through their orange and grapefruit groves. Mrs. Webb was away three weeks, being joined by her husband during the last week of her visit. She attended sessions at the Arizona temple during her stay. Second Lieutenant and Mrs. Maurice R. Sorenson, enroute from Las Vegas, Nevada, to Lincoln, Lin-coln, Nebraska, visited with Mrs. eFrn Johnson last week. Mrs. Sorenson is the former Lola Johnson. , J, . KMMV CO.. Attractive clasps. Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Smith were Mr. and Mrs. James N. Pattan of Grand Junction, Colorado, and Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Smith and daughter, Ednal, of Tridell, Utah. Mrs. Patton is a sister of Mrs. Smith. Mrs. George Pierce and daugh ters, Gloria and Irene, and Mrs. Mildred Johnson and daughter, Barbara Jean, of American Fork spent Tuesday evening at the Wallace Hebertson home visiting with Mrs. Blaine Pierce and baby daughter. Of interest to local friends is the news of the appointment of John Gessford, husband of the former Blanche Evans of Lehi, to the position of scout executive execu-tive of the Ventura County, Cali fornia, Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Mr. and Mrs Gessford, who formerly resided in Provo, now have four sons. Dr. A. L. Inglesby and Herbert S. Auerbach of Salt Lake City spent Thursday evening at the John Hutchings home. Mr, Auerbach recently published a book, "Escalante's Diary," and is renowned as a collector of Mormon doctrines and relics. A few years ago he presented a set of furniture which had belonged to Joseph Smith to the L. D. S. church. LARSEN-WAGSTAFF WEDDING RECEPTION Lovely in every detail was the wedding reception held in the American Fork Third ward hall Friday, April 14, honoring Mr. and Mrs. Jack Wagstaff, who were wed April 12 in the Salt Lake temple. The bride is the former Relva Larsen, daughter of Bishop and Mrs. Linel Larsen of Lehi, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wagstaff of American Fork. The bride was lovely in a bride's model of white satin, entrain, en-train, with a silk lace yoke. She carried a bouquet of gardenias and red roses with white satin streamers. Mrs. Michael Kearny, matron ,pf honor, wore a blue frock with white net skirt, and wore sweet peas and roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Bonnie Larsen, Miss Lela Christensen, Miss Norma Nor-ma Ainsworth and Mrs. Robert Wilson, wore pastel gowns with harmonizing corsages. Roy Wagstaff, Wag-staff, brother of the groom, was best man. The bride's mother was in blue, wearing pink rosebuds. The mother of the groom wore orchid, with a corsage of yellow rosebuds. rose-buds. The bride's two grandmothers, grand-mothers, Mrs. Eunice Larsen and Mrs. Elisha Peck were also pres ent. Each wore a corsage of talisman roses. Little Valois and Lynn Peck stood up with the bride and groom. Valois wore a peach sheer dress, and carried a bouquet bou-quet of pink baby roses. Jeanette Wagstaff and Vala Janae Run-olson, Run-olson, in -pink and blue sheer dresses, were flower girls, each carrying baskets of sweet peas. A beautiful white wedding cake, decorated with pink rosebuds, rose-buds, formed the centerpiece on the attractive serving table, covered cov-ered with a lace banquet cloth over pink satin. White candelabra candela-bra holding pink and white tapers, tap-ers, intertwined with pink rosebuds, rose-buds, were on each end. The serving table and refreshments were arranged by Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Parker. Mrs. Ruby Searle presided at the table, and Misses Doris Johnson, Doris Gordon, Willa Hadfield and Dorothy Mitchell assisted. Mrs. Charl Anderson and Mrs. Randall Shipley were in charge of the gift room, assisted by Miss Lola Wagstaff, Eunice Ann Ross, Cleo Wagstaff and Doris Faddis. A delightful program was given, followed by dancing. Program Pro-gram numbers included a solo, "I Love You Truly," by Kenneth Bird; solo "Sweethearts" and "Indian Love Call" by Mrs. Eastman; East-man; a reading by Gladys Grant, and a duet by Rulon Nicholes and Kenneth Robinson. Grant Christofferson was master of ceremonies. The newlyweds are making their home in American Fork for the present. Mrs. Josephine Cooper has received re-ceived word of the arrival of her son, Eugene, with the armed arm-ed forces in New Guinea. Dale Ricks, who recently finished fin-ished his boot training at Far-ragut, Far-ragut, Idaho, is one of a few who qualified for a special training train-ing course in electricity at a North Dakota naval base. He is a son of Bishop and Mrs. George Ricks. After a short visit here with his parents, Keith Eddington has j left for Camp Livingstone, Lou-1 isiana. where he is stationed with the army. He is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Elmo Eddington. Read Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Miller, is taking a special radio course at Madison, Madi-son, Wisconsin. A member of the army air corps, Read had previously prev-iously been stationed at Buckley Field, Calorado. SHOWER FOR BRIDE Mrs. John Lewellyn and children chil-dren Julie Lynn and John, and Mrs. V. M. Stranger and son, Nickie, spent Tuesday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Jackson. During the afternoon they visited in Provo with their grandmother, Mrs. Martha Linton, Lin-ton, returning to Lehi for dinner as guests of Mn and Mrs. Clell Jackson. . Miss Elma Singleton, a bride of the week, was the honored guest at a shower Tuesday evening in the Legion Hall with Mrs. J. L, Mower and Mrs. Kenneth D, Singleton as hostesses. Miss Singleton became the bride of Mark John . Bradshaw Thursday in a ceremony performed per-formed in the Salt Lake temple. Spring flowers formed the decorations. dec-orations. The serving table was covered with a lace cloth and had for centerpiece an exquisite arrangement of several varieties of daffodils with burning princess prin-cess tapers in matching crystal holders on either side. Miniature brides were dressed with Mrs. Sherman Robinson winning the prize for the most attractive one. In the game of "Hearts" the prize went to Mrs. Grant Evans of Lehi. Mrs. Sherman Robinson, Mrs. Jack Cook and Mrs. Joseph Mecham opened a short program by singing "Rose of Picardy". Miss Miriam Humphries gave an accordian solo, and Miss Joan Boley a Xylophone solo. Miss Helen Pett gave a humorous reading and Mrs. Bert Timpson read original lines "To Mark John and Elma." The trio sang "My Blue Heaven" as a closing number. Mrs. C. A. Grant had charge of the program, Mrs. Mower and Mrs. H. E. McNeill, the gifts; refreshments were in charge of Mrs. Jack Iverson and Mrs. Ira Thornton with Joyce Singleton, Carma Lee Whitely and Joan Knight assisting in serving. The bride received many beautiful beau-tiful and useful gifts for her new housekeeping venture. Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Wilson, Elsie Cal-ton, Cal-ton, arrived in Lehi last week from (Keesler Field, Mississippi, where her husband is stationed with the army air corps. He expects ex-pects to join her here soon.
