Amusing and entertaining features fea-tures of the program will include a skating exhibition from Provo, tumbling exhibition supervised by Miss Vera Conder, wrestling and boxing bouts with contestants from i B. Y. u., Lincoln and Lehi. The principal purpose of the carnival is to obtain money for the senior project, which is the purchase of the new electric score board. Events of this kind enable boys Interested in this kind of sports to participate. The carnivals are also very entertaining to the public as has been proven in past years. A drive is going forward to advertise ad-vertise the program and sell tickt-ets. tickt-ets. The seniors are anticipating one hundred per cent support from the students. 4 i - - ; !M Men Basketball Standing Given CLASSIFIED P.-T A. Meeting Next Wednesday The next regular monthly meet ing of the P.-T. A. will be held Wed nesday, February 18 at 8 p. m. in the high school auditorium. The program will feature a panel discussion under the direction of Mr. Leo Hanson. The following subjects will be presented: First, "History Growth and Ideals of P.-T. A." by Mrs. Ebesteen of Orem, president of the Alpine Institute of P.-T. A.; second, P.-T. A. AS A Defense of the Home and the Nation, Na-tion, Mrs. Noy Christofferson; third, Citizens Health Responsibilities Responsibili-ties in National Defense, Dr. Elmo Eddington; fourth, What of The Future In Education, Superintend ent D. R. Mitchell. Other numbers num-bers on the program will include a flag salute from a group of students stu-dents from the high school, under the direction of Principal Adam-son, Adam-son, and three chorus numbers from the music department with Frank Shaw in charge. All parents in Lehi having boys and girls in school are urged to attend this meeting. Successful Clinic Held Mon., Tues. The health clinic held Monday and Tuesday at the Grammar grade school building for the children who will enter school next September proved to be very successful. ' The children were given a thor ough examination. The purpose of the examination is so that between now and the entrance of the child in school the necessary remedial measures may be taken to safeguard safe-guard the health of the children. The clinic was sponsored by the local P.-T. Mr. Carson was traveling toward Lehi and Mrs. Hardman was traveling trav-eling toward Cedar Valley when the accident occurred. The cars were slightly damaged but the occupants were uninjured. Marshal Rex Gardner and Patrolman Pa-trolman Neldon Evans investigated the accident. Draft Offices Named On February 16 more than 30,- 000 Utah men between the ages of 20 and 44 will be required to register with the state selective service system. sys-tem. This is the second largest draft registration since selective service ser-vice begun. County Commissioner Sylvan W. Clark of the draft board announces the following registration offices for this county: Lehi, Memorial build ing, Herman C. Goates,. chairman; American Fork, American Legion hall, Leo Meredith, r chairman; Pleasant Grove, City Hall, Mayor Duahe Harper;' Orem, :-'-Clty Hall, Mayor B. M. MARRIAGE ANNOUNCED One of the Interesting nuptial events of the season was the marriage mar-riage of Miss Virginia Peterson, daughter of Mr. and Mis. LeRoy Peterson, and Mr. Wayrie Phillips, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reed Phillips, of Pleasant Grove, which took place on Tuesday, February 10 in Provo. The couple have a wide circle of friends extending them congratulations. congratula-tions. Mrs. Peterson entertained at a miscellaneous shower in honor of the bride at the Second ward Relief society rooms Friday evening. The following program was presented with Mrs. Florence Butt acting as mistress of ceremonies: Musical numbers by Joy and Dorothy Phillips, Phil-lips, sisters of the g r o o m; piano solo, Miss LaPriel Goodwin; reading, Lois Fay Peterson, an original orig-inal reading, Mrs. Florence Butt. Games were played under the direction di-rection of Mrs. Butt. Refreshments were served to 100 guests. They will make their home in Bingham. Defense Council To Hold School Here The Utah county civilian defense council will be present at a general meeting at the Lehi high school February 19 at 8 p. m. to conduct a departmentalized training and an explanation of the various groups set up under this program. The meeting is open to all members mem-bers of the community and if you are interested in any of the five major divisions planning, necessi ties, communication, protective and public utilities, with their several divisions you are urged to attend this meeting. Come out in an "all out" attempt to organize our local, defense needs.
