I. A. and will be held Tuesday evening at the Dans Art. This will be the opening social for the ward mutuals. Tickets may be purchased either at the Dance or at the ward houses. The following Tuesday Mutual will be conducted In the wards of Lehl stake. Teachers Institute Held Saturday A very successful and worthwhile institute was held for the teachers in the Alpine School District at Mutual Mu-tual Dell In American Fork cah-yon cah-yon Saturday evening. Evans. The Seagull Girls of the Fourth ward Primary held their graguation exercises Sunday evening in con nection with the M- I. A. conjoint meeting. The following girls graduated and gave talks on Primary work: Fran- cis Warden, Betty Norberg, Miriam Loveridge and LuJean Peterson. The exercises were under the di rection. of Mrs. Victor Smith, first counselor in the Primary associa tion. Mrs. Francis Warden taught the girls the past year. Citizen Celebrates Birthday 1 Mrs. Mary Ann Losee celebrated her birthday anniversary last Sat urday, September 6, and in honor of the occasion about forty of her relatives and friends visited with her Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday a family gathering was held at her home in honor of her birthday. Thirty members of her family were present, including her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Losee is the mother of three daughters and four sons. She has 30 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. THIRD WARD SUNDAY SCHOOL REORGANIZED Mrs. Monroe Wilson of Ingle- wood, California; is visiting this week with Mrs. Julia Vaughan- Mrs. James Zimmerman and Mr. Henry Sorenson visited in Salt Lake City Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Davis. The occasion was in honor of Mrs. Davis birthday anniversary. annivers-ary. :- Mrs. James Zimmerman and Mrs- Thomas Trlnnaman attended the Peace Officers Auxiliary meeting in Provo Wednesday. Dale Hadfield has been sustained as the new superintendent of the Third ward Sunday School. Assist ing Mr. Hadfield as counselors are Mr. Leland Price and Mr. Thomas Peck. Mr. Hadfield fills the vacancy left by Mr. Harold Hutchings, who is stationed with the United States army at San Luis Obispo. Mr. Had field and Mr. Price were the former counselors to Mr. Hutchings. FJdred Fox also sustained as pres ident of the Third ward Y. M. M. I. A. with Arthur Powell and Gilbert Simmons as his assistants, Lloyd Bone as secretary and De Mar Gale as scout master. Calton of Cedar Valley, to Mr, James Cox, son of Mrs. Edward Cox of this city, which took place Fri day, August 29 at the Second ward church. The ceremony was performed by Bishop E. N. Webb in the presence of the immediate family and friends. The couple is well known In the community and have a wide circle of friends extending their congratu lations. The bride was guest of honor at a miscellaneous shower given by her mother at the gymnasium in Cedar Valley Monday evening. The hall was decorated throughout with summer and fall flowers.
