The palnt-, palnt-, ing, depicting the birth of Christ, was executed in Dusseldorf In 1885 and was first published In the United States in 1936. Improvements; Community; At this time of the year. 'remodeling project, which back over some of the L., in the 12 months which are swiftly drawing to a close and as we do we recall many noted improvements and changes which have taken place in our community. Among the noted improvements is the extensive road improvement program which has been carried out during the past summer months. practically all of the principal streets and roads in the community have been improved. Our sidewalks about the city have also undergone an extensive remodeling program and in the near future another long felt sidewalks project will be carried car-ried out. A cement walk will be constructed from the Lehi Lumber company along the state highway north for about one and a half miles. The recent completion of Lehi's new fire station was a most outstanding out-standing improvement. The old courthouse, which had housed the fire engine for several years, was torn down and the materials used in the construction of the new sta-1 tion, just south of the present Memorial Me-morial building. It is finished in modern architecture to conform with the Memorial building. The new fire siren installed sev eral months ago done away with the old fire bell and now brings our fire fighting system up to date. Now, within a second, the alarm can be sent in and the firemen notified. noti-fied. At this time the mayor and city council and all citizens of Lehi take this opportunity to extend thanks and appreciation to our city fire department, to the fire chief, and to every fireman. They have ac complished an outstanding fire fighting record during the past year and their diligent work is greatly appreciated. When called they have responded most willingly, leaving everything to engage in the fight. Firemen, we take our hats off to you! As soon as weather permits the construction of the new band stand and rest rooms on Wines park will be completed and this too, is a most noted improvement to the community. com-munity. The past year saw the completion comple-tion of the Lehi Municipal Hospital, Hos-pital, following a several months GREETINGS To commemorate Christ's birth with His message of love and cheer, may peace and contentment abide with you throughout the coming year. Lehi Stake Primary Board. Made In During Year totaled approximately $14,000. This is in deed a valuable asset and added improvement to our community and north Utah county. Through the cooperation of the Alpine School board and the Lehi City council, Lehi now has an outstanding out-standing lighted athletic field for summer recreation facilities. This, too,, is one of the noteworthy un . provements of the past year. Lehi's Municipal Lighting plant is proving a most valuable asset to the community and is in good financial condition. The street lighting system went; into service in 1926 and the home; lighting system was formally turned over to the city in February, 1930. The past year saw the comple tion of the new First ward amuse ment hall, which was made into a beautiful, modern structure from the old building. The remodeling of the old tabernacle taber-nacle into a new Lehi stake tabernacle taber-nacle is a project that has been going go-ing forward during the past year and although this year will not see the building completed, only a short time remains before Lehi stake can boast a beautiful new modern stake house. j An addition to our present high school building by the Alpine School board and beautification projects surrounding the school buildings are improvements deserving special recognition. The construction of a new cement curbing from Main street to Second North on First West street and west of the high school building are listed among the valuable improvements. Several new homes have been constructed in Lehi during the past year and private businesses have made numerous enlargements and improvements. In conclusion it might be said that we all know many creditable features of our little city and the possibilities that lay about us, but to sum them all up and "sell" our possibilities to ourselves and the outside world is a task, that when done, will bring new spirit, new life, and new prosperity to this community and section. Let us now plan individually and collectively collect-ively to master new fields of endeavor en-deavor and build a bigger and better city. The chorus members have worked hard during the past several weeks GREETINGS It is at this time of the year that most of us stop to indulge in-dulge in reminiscenses. As the year comes to a close we should review its happenings not we have attained and the material things gained, but for the increased love we have for the Lord and our fellowmen. Back of the birth of Christ, whom we honor at this season, we have the love of an He so loved the world that he that who so ever should receive Shall we accept of this love the Lord and our fellowmen by seeking opportunities for service in which we might good will toward men.
