They visited in Vancouver, Victoria, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, Oakland, Almeda and many other important points along the coast. They report having had a wonderful trip. District Association numbers 2 and 10 of the I. O. 0. F. will hold their second annual outing at Geneva Resort Re-sort Sunday, July 13. Sports and games of every variety ' will be the main features of the day. This district dis-trict takes in all points between Lehi and Delta, Odd Fellows from other parts of the state are expected to be present. Mr. and Mrs. David Roberts, Jr., motored to Salt Lake City to meet her upon her arrival. She will spend two weeks visiting here with her sister, Mrs. David Roberts, and other relatives. Goodwin in company witn Mr. ana Mrs. Ausun Gudmundsen of Pittsburg and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Curtis returned home Tuesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Good win and Mr. and Mrs. Gudmundsen have been traveling in the East for the past six weeks. They returned home by way of Yellowstone National Park, where they Joined Mr. and Mrs. Claude Curtis and spent three days' there before returning to Lehi. Margaret Helquist, to ; Mr. William Cundick of Santa Barbara, California. Miss Helquist will leave Friday for Santa Barbara and the marriage will take place next week in San Francisco. Fran-cisco. . . Miss Helquist is well known in Lehi, both socially and in a civic way, having been employed in the People's Co-op. Inst, for the past number num-ber of years. Through this latter .avenue she has won hosts of new friends who wish her happiness and success in her marriage venture. ; Mr. Cundick, likewise, has a wide circle of friends extending their congratulations. con-gratulations. - The young couple will make their home in Santa Barbara, California. o Missionary Welcome Home Party In Third Ward' Next Tuesday A Welcome Home party honoring Elder Bert Beck, who just recently returned from the Northern States Mission will be held in the Third ward chapel next Tuesday evening, under the direction of the bishopric of the ward. The evening's entertainment will consist of games and a spicy program. Light refreshments will be served. If the weather Is warm the enter tainment will likely be held on the grounds of the chapel. All ward members and their friends are cordially invited to attend. o .-' Lehi Scouts Leave Monday For Camp Timpanogos Early Monday morning sixty-five boy scouts, representing the Lehi dis trict, with their bedding, clothing and necessary equipment, accompanied by their scoutmasters, left for Camp Timpanogos, Tim-panogos, located on the Alpine Scenic Loop in Provo Canyon, where they will enjoy a week's vacation with education, edu-cation, pleasure, profit and safety in the cool mountain haven. At the camp the boys sleep in tents, live out-of-doors and have plenty of exercise, good food and bal anced menus prepared by an expert camp cook. During the week a varied program of great interest to the boys is led by a staff of trained experts in boy lore. They will take hikes to special points of interest in the canyon, can-yon, "swim, fish, study nature, learn to cook, make shelters and generally care ior themselves In the open. They will practice handicraft in wood, bone, leather, metal and stone, and will engage In contests, test passing and Indian lore. The great adventure will be the big Tinrpanogos hike on Friday. At 5 a. m. they will break camp and hike to the top-of-the-world while it is cooL A good reading library ia provided at the camp and the boys are under good leadership. Telephone 17 MAIN STREET LEHI, UTAH Fire Damages Automobile Friday afternoon the sport model Ford Coupe, belonging to Christian Johnson of Salt Lake City, was almost al-most completely demolished by fire on the State highway about three miles north of Lehi. It is believed that gas leaking from the tank dripped onto the exhaust pipe, causing flames. The local fire department was Immediately summoned but failed to, reach thet scene in time to save the car. Johnson was traveling south. ' City Marshal Alex ChjristofCerson immediately investigated. ' o Attention Sunday School Workers The Lehi Stake Sunday School superlntendency announces' to the officers and teachers of the Sunday Schools throughout the stake5 that no monthly union meetings will be held during the months of July and August, due to hot weather, working conditions, etc. They will commence again in September, the first one to be held the second Wednesday evening even-ing In that month.
