Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Humphrey, of this city, announce the birth of a baby boy on Mother's day May 8th. In Salt Lake yesterday Vlck Marinich and Rose Borovatz, both of Park City, were made man and wife. Mr. and Mrs. J. E, Johnson came up from their Bountiful, Utah, home, Monday, Mon-day, to attend the funeral of their longtime long-time friend, John Dunsmore. Last Monday morning the Park City Mercantile closed its doors. Manager Maloff and family are contemplating spending the summer In California. The waterjacket In the range at the Darby Smith home exploded Thursday last, causing considerable excitement In the household, necessitating the aid of the fire department. There will be no sacrament sacra-ment meeting held In the First Ward Sunday, May 22nd, because of Baccalaureate Baccal-aureate Services at the high school. The officers of the P. C. H. S. Alumni association are eager that all members Tomorrow, Friday, evening commencing commenc-ing at 7:30, the annual high school student stu-dent body award program will be given in the high school auditorium. In addition addi-tion to the giving of the student awards a program and one-act play will be given. All adults are cordially Invited to attend and enjoy the evening. No charge Is made for admission. Word was received this week of the passing on of Mr. Hugh McCartan, in a Salt Lake hospital recently. Deceased was a long time resident of this community com-munity and esteemed by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at Lady of Guadelope church, Salt Lake, Rev. Father Collins officiating. Interment was in Mt. Calvery cemetery. Provo school to hold reunion. After fifty years of service the Parker school at Provo, Utah, will be moved to a new modern building. All former students and teachers are cordially Invited to at tend the homecoming and farewell party at the Old Parker School, Wednesday. The lady gives Instruction in piano, vocal and orchestra, orches-tra, and will be pleased to give any information desired, as to classes, terms, etc. Word received from Dr. L. H. Racklon yesterday gave the pleasing information that a fine 6' pound baby daughter arrived at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Dopplemaier, of Oakland, California, Cali-fornia, on Friday, May 13th. The proud mother is the youngest daughter of Mr. W. D. Sutton, and sister of Mrs. L. H. Raddon. It is the firit baby and Joy is rampant with immediate members of the family. Congratulations, Mrs. William R. Niel of Park City reported re-ported theft from the women's restroom at Broadway and State street Wednesday Wednes-day of her purse, containing $42.50, keys and private papers. She said she had walked away from the restroom without her purse and that when she returned to get It the purse had been stolen. Police said they would question Beveral women known to have been in the rest-room rest-room when the theft occurred. Salt Lake Telegram, May 13th. A rather serious automobile accident occurred last Sunday evening, near Midway. Mid-way. According to reports Layle Johnson, John-son, Richard Daniels and Pay Green were on their way to the Hot Pots and Bearing Bear-ing the narrow Midway bridge, Mr. Johnson was blinded by the lights of an approaching car, and ran Into the steel supports of the bridge. The three men were knocked unconscious, and were taken by passing motorists to the Heber hospital, where they were given medical attention. Later In the evening even-ing they were brought to their homes here. No permanent Injuries were received, re-ceived, but painful cuts and bruises are being nursed by the boys.
