Parents in Utah County are doing just that by working to expand American Amer-ican Heritage School in American Fork to include 9th to 12th grades. There will be a meeting Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lecture Hall at American Heritage School located directly east of Mount Timpanogos LDS Temple at 736 N. 1100 East in American Fork. Currently the LDS-based private non-profit school serves kindergarten through eighth grade. "We would like to see our children be able to continue their education in this unique environment," said Cheryl Karr, parent of an eighth grader. "Parents every year ask for a high school with the same values that American Heritage has. We've just decided to do something about it." In organizing a meeting for all parents interested in expanding American Heritage Her-itage School to include high school grades, Karr said, "Whether we do it a grade at a time or the entire four grades will depend on how much support we receive from the parents." Additional information on the school is available at their Web site, www.ameri-can-heritage.org. For information concerning concern-ing the high school contact Karr at 642-0055 ext. 503 or come to the meeting.
