Twinlab move may create 200 jobs By Cathy Allred In a move that could promise more than 200 jobs to Utah County residents, Twinlab Corporation announced restructuring that would move its New York manufacturing and distribution facilities to its newer facility facil-ity in American Fork. The move may be the first, with more on the way. "None of the processes are going to move for a couple of months," American Fork Twinlab director of human resources, Ken Hansen, said. "The shipping and distribution distribu-tion will move first." Led behind will be the corporate offices, purchasing, research and development operational offices and labs for a possible future date. The cost reductions are anticipated to be $(i million or more with the first quarter 2003. Announced on July 24, the news has caused the phones to ring constantly at the American Fork office with job inquiries. "We'll be picking up over 200 employees. We don't anticipate many of the New York employees taking advantage of the opportunity oppor-tunity (to move to Utah.)," Hansen said. "Right now we're hiring through temporary agencies, because this has hit us so fast. After our initial wrap up, we'll be using the Department of Workforce Services. People interested in working here should go through the Department of Workforce Services." Ser-vices." Twinlab is a leading manufacturer and marketer of nutritional supplements and has a complete line of vitamins, minerals, nutraceuticals, herbs and sports nutrition products.
