Our heloved, wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed from this earth Tuesday, August 6, 2002. June was lxirn June 11, 1924 in I'rovo, Utah to Edgar J. & Luella Oldroyd Mower. She married 1). Ray Chip-man Chip-man the 24th of March 1951 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Tem-ple. Together they raised three children to adulthood and suffered the loss of two young sons. After Ray's passing, June married her young adult sweetheart, Itnss K. Bell, June 26, 1992 in the Provo Temple. June was educated in Provo, attended B.Y. High and Brigham Young University. Uni-versity. She was a news broadcaster for the radio station KOVO and cultivated cultivat-ed her voice through her daily Womenfs Page program pro-gram and Homemaker Harmonies Har-monies in the 1940i's. With marriage she moved to American Fork and raised her family. June's avid love for the arts led to many opportunities opportuni-ties to serve in the community. commu-nity. She was a Board Member of the Utah Pageant of the Arts Guild, as well as the Utah Regional Region-al Ballet Guild, and Chairman Chair-man of the Opera Section Sec-tion of the Womenis Council in Provo. She was a stim-u stim-u 1 a t i n g writer and wrote poet ry to teed our souls.' She penned the script for the original ballet "The Legend of Timpano-gos," Timpano-gos," for the Utah Regional Ballet Company. She was a faithful member mem-ber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. June served in many capacities capac-ities including, counselor in the Stake Primary, Relief Society President and Church Office Building Hostess. June is preceded in death by her two sons Craig Del-bert Del-bert and Robert Ray Chip-man, Chip-man, and her husband D. Ray Chipman. Survivors include: beloved husband Ross K. Bell, Sandy; Son Kerry K. Chipman, (Tama-ra), (Tama-ra), Orem; Daughter Cindy June Sumsion, (Mike), California; Cali-fornia; Son Todd J. Chip-man, Chip-man, (Lani) St. George. Also survived by one brother broth-er and sister, Robert J. Mower (Orlinda) Sandy and Joyce Mower Kelly (Samuel) Colorado and eleven grandchildren. Can-dace, Can-dace, Zachary, and Cole Chipman. Sean, Scott, Mic-colene, Mic-colene, Sabrina and Morgan Sumsion. Travis, Christina and Christopher Chipman. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Emily Peay Royle, 88, born April 18, 1914, in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to George T. and Zella Agnes Beal f e a y , passed away as a result of Alzheimer's disease, August 6, in American Fork on her 68th wedding anniversary. She was the seventh child in a family of four brothers and two sisters: Golden, Ethan, Harold, Ruth, Jennings, all deceased, and a sister, Mary Jacobs of Pleasant Grove. She corresponded with a young elder, Homer Royle of Lehi, while he served in the Mexican Mission (1930-33). They were married in the Salt Lake Temple August 6, 1934. She loved her family and grandchildren and was a master homemaker, rendering render-ing untiring service to others oth-ers by sharing meals and her freshly baked bread. She participated in many church callings as a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her faith and commitment commit-ment to righteous principles princi-ples were her strengths. Playing the piano and singing in choral groups were some of her favorite pastimes. She accompanied her husband when he presided over the West Spanish American Mission, (California, (Califor-nia, Nevada, Arizona) 1967-1970, 1967-1970, and later as they served with the senior missionaries mis-sionaries at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. Paralyzed with polio in 1940, Emily was beset with many physical challenges the remainder of her life. Over the past several years she has suffered from Alzheimer's disease. Emily is survived by her husband, Homer, American Fork; daughters: Nadine (Larry) Miller, Salt Lake City; Kathleen (James) Ras-mussen, Ras-mussen, Cedar City; Jeanette (Alan) Monson, Cedar Hills; Diane (William J.) Harvey, South Jordan; 22 grandchildren; 61 greatgrandchildren great-grandchildren and 10 great-great- grandchildren. Emily was preceded in death by Dan Dedrickson (son-in-law), Todd Child (grandson-in-law), and Logan Dedrickson Dedrick-son (great-grandson). Funeral services will be Saturday, August 10th at 1:00 p.m. in the American Fork 8th Ward, 320 North 100 East. A viewing will be held at the church Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday Satur-day from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the services. Burial, Lehi City Cemetery. Vance V J Robert Wayne Vance, age 40, passed away August 3, 2002 after a courageous coura-geous battle bat-tle with cancer. He was born January 7, 1962 in Sydney, Australia to John A. Vance and Mary E. Zaugg. Robert lived in Australia and Canada until age 15 when he moved to Provo and has remained in the area until the time of his passing. Robert is survived by his beloved Karrie Lynn Apple-gate Apple-gate whom he married January Jan-uary 20, 1983 in the Provo LDS Temple. Together they have four children: Kevin (18), Jonathan (15), Zachary (11), and Emily (6), all of whom Robert loved with all his heart and soul. He is also survived by his parents, John and Mary Vance, of Cedar Hills; a sister, sis-ter, Shirley Wells, of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove; four brothers, Allan (Cyndie) Vance, Calgary, Cal-gary, Alberta, Canada, Byron Vance, Kauai, Hawaii, David (Karma) Vance, Conifer, Colorado, and Mike Vance, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; as well as Karrie's parents, brothers, and sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews whom Robert took an active inter- est in.
