By Tina Chadwick Mountain High Community Credit Union is holding an open house June 15, 16, and 17 at their new location, 601 West State in Lehi. Dennis Dunn, president and founder of Mountain High Community Credit Union firmly firm-ly believes that "credit unions are one of the highest and noblest financial institutions on earth." He had worked in the banking industry for 17 years and was "tired of working for stockholders and wanted to work for customers." About eight years ago he was able to do just that. Mountain High Credit Union is federally insured for $100,000 NCUA and is a member mem-ber of the Utah League of Credit Unions. They offer free checking and 2 percent interest with no minimum balance. Quarterly seminars on insurance insur-ance issues, credit cards, home buying and others will begin soon. "We try to encourage members to be thrifty. We want to look out for the members well being and help them establish goals and help them get the most value for their money. We are a traditional credit union, we know our members." Manager of the Lehi branch is Scott Dunn. He attended UVSC in finance and has worked for the credit union for seven years starting as a teller and working his way up.
