Pleasant Grove East Stake names new president, counselors Sunday Shortly after being released as a member of the Pleasant Grove East Stake Presidency Sunday, Gary R. Ridge was sustained as the new stake president at the stake's semi-annual conference. con-ference. Named as the other members of the new stake presidency were Scott Shumway as first counselor coun-selor and Paul Burgon as second counselor. Carl Baldwin will serve as the new Executive Secretary. He replaces Pres. Burgon who held that position previously. Released were President Douglas L. Weight, First Counselor Gary R. Ridge and Second Counselor Brad C. Barker, all of whom have served for the past nine years in the stake presidency. pres-idency. The children chil-dren who enter the parade will receive a popsicle, carnival tickets and one rodeo ticket. The City of Fun carnival will open downtown and continue through Saturday. PRCA Rodeo will also begin at 8 p.m. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children. Lindon City . . The Lindon City Planning Commission will hold a regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. in the council room of Lindon City Hall, 100 North State St., Lindon.
