Conferences planned Parentteacher Par-entteacher conferences are scheduled for Wednesday from 3-7:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to attend with their student. Preparation for testing Students Stu-dents may now sign up for the April ACT prep classes through the student finance office. Review Re-view classes are $10 each and will be held for English, math and science. Students may sign up for all of the sections or for individual sections. The classes will begin March 17. Yearbooks Yearbooks are now $60. The final count for the yearbook order is due soon, so anyone still wanting a yearhxxk should purchase one right away. American Fork Junior High School Deliveries restricted Parents Par-ents are reminded that Valentine Valen-tine flowers, treats, balloons, etc. are not to be delivered to the school for students. If deliveries are made, they will be turned away because of the disruption this creates in the classrooms. Conferences scheduled The next parentteacher conferences are scheduled for Feb. 26. Forbes Elementary School PTA meeting The next PTA meeting will be Wednesday Wednes-day at 4 p.m. Anyone interested inter-ested in attending is welcome to attend. Junior Engineering Junior Engineering Day will be next Feb. 19 Assembly planned A "Buff Don't Puff" assembly for all fourth-grade students is scheduled sched-uled for Feb. 20 at 10:30 a.m. Kindergarten registration Kindergarten registration for the 2009-2010 school year will be Feb. 23-24 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:30 p.m. Parents will need to provide immunization immuniza-tion records, original birth certificate cer-tificate and proof of residency. Greenwood Elementary School Science fair The annual science fair is coming up and is scheduled for Feb. 20. Students are encouraged to begin preparations prepa-rations for their project. Kindergarten registration Kindergarten registration for the 2009-2010 school year will be Feb. 24-25. Parents will need to provide the child's immunization im-munization records and original origi-nal birth certificate. Patrons are encouraged to help make friends and neighbors aware of this important date. Preschool registration Preschool Pre-school registration will be held at the Alpine School District Office on Feb. 27 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Parents are asked to provide the child's birth certificate certifi-cate and immunization record. Shelley Elementary School Valentine information Kindergarten through third-grade third-grade students may bring Valentines for each member of their class, while grades 4-6 will not exchange valentines. Children in all grades will have class parties to celebrate this holiday during the last hour of the day. Jazz reader contest The Jazz reader contest ends Feb. 23. Students are encouraged to get lots of reading done over the upcoming long weekend. The school goal is to read more minutes outside of class than were read last year. There will be ice cream bars for each grade which meets this goal. More information will be sent home with students.
