Hott Tubz has opened in American Fork at 648 E. State Road. The store sells spas, all spa chemicals, products and accessories, fragrances, parts, outdoor fireplaces and kitchens, gazebos and saunas. Co-owners are Justin Henley and Michael Lindsay. Henley explained that hot tubs have changed through the years. "They have lots of jets now," he said. "They also have acrylic lining instead of plastic over fiberglass. They used to develop cracks. The new ones are stronger stron-ger and last longer." Previous versions had only hot water and jets. Today hot tubs can come complete with stereos, TVs and DVD players. "The pumps are also different differ-ent from what they used to be," Henley said. "The quality overall over-all is a lot better." The framing around the tubs is better built and the lighting systems are more sophisticated. "Many have LED lights all through them," he said. "They are a lot more therapeutic than they used to be. That is because of the way the jets are made and positioned." He said hydrotherapy can be used for treating soft tissue injuries and arthritis and other joint related illnesses. "It increases blood circulation," circula-tion," he said. "A lot of people have bad blood flow and are always cold. This helps them quite a bit." At their store, they have seen a wide range of customers with a variety of incomes and ages. "We have people from about 25 to those in their 70s," Henley said. Tell Your Graduate i You're Proud!
