In fact, most of the new SBO's were inspired by former officers of-ficers to run for office. Mason Porter, this year's Public Pub-lic Relations (officer, said "I'm KM) percent positive that next year's officers will do a magnificent magnifi-cent job, but the other 39 percent of me isn't too sure. It's amazing how contagious service is. The life of an SBO is hard, yet every year students kxik up to them and wish they could do something some-thing like that. "It's an honor to have people kxik up to you, not only because of your intimidating 6-foot 4-inch, 200-pound frame, but because of your slightly smaller heart." Well put, Mason I agree with you 100 percent, the other 39 percent of me thinks you're crazy though. Either way, I hope you and the other person(s) who enjoy my articles have a grxxl day and a pleasant tomorrow. The production is based on the classic story "The Empty Pot" by Demi The wise emperor em-peror is growing old and must choose a replacement for his crown. Loving flowers, he devises a task for the children of China and announces that the most successful participant will be made his successor. Each child is given a seed to see who can grow the most beautiful flower. Young Ping, who is an outstanding gardener, garden-er, has little doubt that he will grow a great flower for the emperor. However, despite his great care and attention, Ping's seed will not grow. When the appointed day arrives, all the children arrive with beautiful flowers, while Ping looks on sadly holding his empty pot. When the emperor approaches Ping and asks why his pot is empty, Ping explains that he did his best to grow the flower but it would not grow. The emperor exclaims that he has found his replacement and reveals that all of the seeds given to the children were cooked and would not grow. The test had not been to find the greatest gardener, but a child with the integrity needed to rule wisely in China. Brucker has developed a classroom curriculum that teachers may use prior to attending at-tending the program. Matinee prices for local school groups are $1 per student stu-dent with chaperones free.
