I c -.i rved in the Army Air Corp during WWII in India and the Mariana Islands, working wilh the 15-2H air- planes. iGordon returned from the service and attended BYU, receiving receiv-ing a B. S. in Education and Mathematics. Mathemat-ics. Gordon and Joyce made their home in Pleasant Grove where they reared their five children. Gordon taught school for .'16 years, most of which were in the Alpine School District. He was an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church having hav-ing served in many callings during his life. Gordon and Joyce served a family history histo-ry mission in Richmond, Virginia. He is survived by his wife Joyce of American Fork; children: Lee (Mimi) Walker, Walk-er, San Jose, CA; Janice (Paul) Legler, Kaysville; Ellen (Roger) Cornell, Pleasant Grove; Jolynne (Curtis) Walker, Layton; Maria (Dale) Thompson, Colorado Springs, CO; 15 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. His grandson, grand-son, Beau Cornell, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 14, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the American Fork Sunset Hills First Ward Chapel, 939 North 540 West, American Fork. Friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, Mortu-ary, 494 -South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church on Monday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post 72.
