Anderson LaPreal Allen Morford, 72, of Pleasant Grove returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 7, 2005. She was born in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove on January 17, 1933 to Ethan Rial and Ethel Foutz Allen. She married mar-ried Roland Morford on June 6, 1951 in the Salt Lake IDS Temple. Roland passed away in December, 2003. LaPreal grew up in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, graduating from Pleasant Grove High School in 1951. LaPreal and Roland made their first home in Salt Lake and later moved back to Pleasant Grove where they built their home and raised their four children. LaPreal was a faithful and devoted member of the LDS Church and served diligently dili-gently in many callings including: Sunday School Teacher, Relief Society Counselor Coun-selor and Secretary, Stake Missionary, and together with Roland served in the Birmingham Alabama Mission Mis-sion where they microfilmed state records. LaPreal worked 26 years at the American Fork Hospital. Hospi-tal. She and Roland enjoyed traveling to Navy reunions all over the United States and Australia. Aus-tralia. She is survived sur-vived by her three children: chil-dren: Sharon (Monte) Con-d Con-d o r Puyallup, WA; Karen (Joe) Chipman, American Fork; and Kevin (Holly) Morford, West Jordan; mother, Ethel Allen, Pleasant Grove; 11 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Additional survivors include siblings: Douglas (Joie) Allen, Big Piney, WY; Rial (Valerie) Allen, Draper, Rita Avery, Salt Lake; and Joyce Lemon, Salem. She was preceded in death by her son, David Randy Morford. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary and on Friday one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. Kevin John Slater Our loving son, brother, father, and grandfather, Kevin John Slater, age 50, passed away March 5, 2005 doing what he loved best, fishing with his father and son. He was born Jan. 20, 1955 in American Fork, Utah to Roy John (RJ) and Lorena Abbott Slater. Kevin was a truck driver for Geneva Rock. He had worked for KKAT and loved to be on the radio. He loved hunting and fishing. fish-ing. He adored his grand children. Survived by 2 sons, Steven John Slater, Salt Lake City; Travis Robert Slater, West Valley City; 1 daughter, Sharlene Ann Slater, Draper; 3 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, Devin, David, and Hailey; his parents of Mona; 1 brother, Kirk (Nicki) Slater, Lehi; 3 sisters, sis-ters, Kathleen (Terry) Lange, American Fork; Ann Marie Mair, Robertson, WY; Alison (Jay) Sisson, Lehi. Preceded in death by LaVone Kunkel Moulton, died Friday morning at the age of 88. She was born February Feb-ruary 25, 1917 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Mattie Wink-less Wink-less and Arthur Roy Kunkel, the second of two daughters. She married Jack F. Moulton in 1941, and were married for 58 years when he died in 1999. They were sealed for time and all eternity in 1950. They are the parents of one son and four daughters. LaVone was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served actively all her life. She has been a member and leader in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Pio-neers. She was a great cook, she painted, sewed, quilted and had many other talents. tal-ents. LaVone loved animals and the outdoors. She was thought of as the Gum Drop Granny to thousands of children who dropped by for a gum drop. LaVone has 26 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Arlyn June Johnson of Salt Lake City, her son Vaughn K. Moulton (Karen) his grandparents grand-parents and 2 grandchildren. grandchil-dren. Miller Ramon Gray Colleen G. Harris Glen Thornton Anderson 85, died March 7, 2005 at his home in American Fork. Born March 3, 1920 in American Fork, Utah the son of Warren Fielding and Millie Thornton Anderson. He married Maurine Spaf-ford Spaf-ford June 28, 1911 in American Amer-ican Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Glen was educated at the LDS Business College and at San Francisco College of Mortuary Science, he was a licenced Funeral Director. He served in the U.S. Army for 3 years during WWII seeing action in North Africa and Italy. In 1939 he started in banking as the Custodian later serving as President of the Bank of American Fork and retired as the Vice Chairman of the Board in 2004. He served on the American Ameri-can Fork City Council, two terms as Mayor of American Fork, and two terms as a State Legislator. He served as Director, Vice President, and President of the American Ameri-can Fork Rotary Club. Served for 14 years on the American Fork Hospital Board including a term as Chairman. Glen was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-dav Latter-dav Saints served many including in a positions bishopric. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed horseback riding, rid-ing, and snowmobiling in American Fork Canyon. Survivors include, his wife two daughters and a son: Mrs. George (Trudy) Casteleiro, Arlington. TX; Mrs. Fred ( Christine I Fair-clough. Fair-clough. Salt Lake City; David (Marie) Anderson.
