Larson, Lar-son, born the 8th child of Russell and Vera Thompson, passed away July 20, 2004 of natural causes by her family. She was born on December 24, 1928. Ruth was raised in American Fork, UT where she lived until she married John T. Larson. She and John moved to Aberdeen, ID where she spent the remainder of her days. She spent most of her life on a farm. She worked for Schrit-ter Schrit-ter and Behrend farms in Aberdeen, and also leased and operated the American Ameri-can Legion Club until she retired due to illness. She raised her 2 granddaughters, granddaugh-ters, Jamie and Jennifer Eakins from 1987 until adulthood. She was a very loving and caring person and a mother to all. Benjamin Susov Benjamin Delias Susov, 24, of Pleasant Grove returned home to his Heavenly Father on Monday, July 26, 2004 at U VRMC with his-family his-family by his side after a valiant battle with leukemia. He was born February 3, 1980 in Provo, Utah to Richard and Karen Shelley Susov. Ben grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1998. He was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed many great scouting experiences, particularly backpacking to Havasupai. Ben also enjoyed traveling and was known to take long road-trips on the spur of the moment. His cancer was diagnosed diag-nosed in May of 2002. A bone marrow transplant in October of that year brought him relief for a short time until his leukemia returned in January Janu-ary of 2004. Ben recently realized his goal of receiving his LDS Temple Endowments, which Ivey Cleo Chrisfofferson Ivey Cleo Christofferson, age 89 of Lehi, Utah, passed away July 22, 2004 in the Heritage Care Center of causes incident to age. She was born Nov. 3, 1914 in Lehi, Utah, to Elnathan Junius and Mary Luella Peterson Christofferson. Ivey worked as a medical transcriber' in the Veterans Hospital radiology depart J&lu o iPicM Cantaloupes, Cucumbers, Squash, All local Peppers, Apples, Potatoes, Beets, produce in String Beans and Raspberries! season! SJvHOURSj 10-6 Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family at the cabin in Island Park, ID. She also enjoyed gardening gar-dening and reading. She liked to fish, but would rather eat the fish then have to catch it. Her greatest memory was going hunting with Tommy P. and Sylvia Nelson Nel-son and shooting an elk with her 3030. She was preceded in death by her husband John T., daughters Linda and Jeanette, mother, father, and her 9 brothers and sisters, Elda, Mary, Phyllis, Carl, June, Glade, Russell, Reed, and Vera. She is survived by her 4 children, Virginia Larson (David Nedrud), Tom Larson Lar-son (Angie), Maurice Larson Lar-son (Nancy), and Charlene Miller (Kirby); her 10 grandchildren, Rusty, Jamie, Jennifer, T.J., Tiffany, Nick, Raymond, Dylan, Jacob, and Harlie and her 1 great-grandchild, Aiden. Beth Tidwell Barnes Together again Rebecca Elizabeth "Beth" Tidwell Barnes, 85, of Lehi, Utah, passed away Saturday, Satur-day, July 24, 2004 with her two daughters by her side. She was born August 24, 1918 in Nephi, Utah to Archie Ronald and Mary Sperry Tidwell. She married mar-ried Raymond Barnes on June 24, 1950, he died Sept. 24, 1999. She was born and raised in Nephi, Utah and later moved to Lehi with her husband hus-band Ray. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She spent winters in Arizona Ari-zona with her husband. She loved to quilt, fish, and go camping with her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She is survived by her two daughters, RaeLynn and Gaylene Barnes of Lehi; stepson, Ronald (Laura) Barnes of High- Elma Christofferson Elma Leone Wootton Christofferson completed her earthly journey and passed away peacefully on July 22, 2004. She was born October 25, 1911, in American Fork, UT, the first child of Mary Elizabeth Hansen and Gilbert Leslie Wootton. Through her junior year of high school, Elma's education educa-tion was in American Fork. She did her fourth year of high school work in Cedar City, UT, at the BAC, a branch of the Agricultural College at Logan. Elma married Noy Leo Christofferson Christof-ferson (deceased) on June 15, 1932 in the Salt Lake Temple. Four children were born to this union, Connie of Salt Lake City, deceased son Sherman Noy (Elva of Mt. Pleasant, UT) Karen (Larry J,) Hansen of Durham, New Hampshire, and Alan Leo (Bonnie) of Lehi, UT. She had great faith in the Lord, a positive outlook on life, and a determination to face her challenges in an upbeat manner without complaint. She was an active participant partici-pant in her husband's business busi-ness ventures and worked in various roles in civic service. Elma made the most of each day, spending her time in worthwhile work and activities. activi-ties. She loved nature, flowers, flow-ers, dancing, quilting, handcrafts, hand-crafts, writing, and creating her fine oil paintings. She was well loved and will be missed. She was born September Sep-tember 2, , 1922 in American Fork, Utah to Neldon W. and Mary Verdell Webb Lim. She was raised in Pleasant Grove and graduated gradu-ated from Pleasant Grove High School and LDS Nursing Nurs-ing College. She was a Registered Reg-istered Nurse in the health care industry for 34 years. She was known to many people in the area as "Pennie", "Pen-nie", Dr. Talmage Thompson's Thomp-son's "Red-Haired" Nurse. She married Thomas Frederick Pennie in 1945. They had three children, Tamara (Brent) Feather-stone Feather-stone of Snellville, GA; Michael (Ann) Pennie and Malcolm Scott Pennie, all of Ruby Harper West Ruby Harper West, 93, of Pleasant Grove passed away Wednesday, Wednes-day, July 21, 2004. She was born February Feb-ruary 14, 1911 in L i n d o n , Utah to P e r r v William and Emily Gertrude Duke Harper. She married Lloyd LaVerl West on April 16, 1930. Their marriage was later solemnized solem-nized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Ruby grew up in Lindon on the family farm where she helped pick fruit and enjoyed riding the family horses. She graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and was active in operettas, tap dancing, and singing. Ruby and Lloyd spent the first years of their married mar-ried life in American Fork Canyon at the Yankee Mine. They bought the Wasatch Inn at start of WWII and operated it for 12 years. In 1952 Ruby and Lloyd moved to West Yellowstone, Montana and leased Jerry's Cabins for two years. She married Lonnie Young in August of 1969, he passed away in 1991. Luana spent most of her life in Pleasant Grove, and lived in one of the original "Monkey Town" neighborhoods surrounding sur-rounding the old 3rd and 6th Wards chapel . She was a member of the LDS Church. She was preceded in death by both parents, a sister, sis-ter, Maurine Lim, and by her husband Lonnie. She is survived by her daughter, Dixie Beck of Pleasant Grove; eight grandchildren: Pam (Kent) Allen, Scott (Kay) Beck, Elizabeth Beck, Kelly (Julie) Beck, Jeff Beck, Tom West, Shane (Val) West, Felicia (Bart) Watts; 15 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson.
