J 1 , J Photo by Kent Davis Handcart company Leslie Dalton, Bret Dalfon, Taylor Warner and Sean Dalton surround a handcart which will form the basis of a story that will be retold in the American Fork Cemetery Heritage and History Pageant. It will be at the cemetery, 600 N. Center, Cen-ter, American Fork,' Friday, Sturday and Monday, July 30, 31 and Aug. 2, from 6 p.m. until dusk. Tickets are $2 per person or $5 per family. Seven short scenes from the history of those buried in the cemetery will be reenacted. The public is invited to attend. New Utah - Thursday, July 29, 2(X)4 - Page 9 Fund raiser to help family of Olympic athlete cheer for her Pleasant Grove resident Tiffany Lott-Hogan has qualified to compete in the 2005 Olympics in Athens, Greece. There will be a fund raiser rais-er Saturday, July 31 at the Water Garden Cinemas to help raise money for her family to meet the expenses to attend her event and support sup-port her. The public will be able to meet Tiffany at 8 a.m. and .at 9 a.m. all movie showings begin. Any movie at the cinema is $6 per person and supports sup-ports Tiffany. There are also accounts set up at Wells Fargo and Zions Bank in her name to accept donations. Tiffany grew up in Amer-icarl Amer-icarl Fork and Leeds, Utah, and dreamed of getting to the Olympics since she was 12. She will compete in the seven-event Heptathlon, which includes hurdles, high jump, shot put, 200 m., long jump, javelin and 800 m. She qualified by placing second at the Olympic Tri' als and exceeding the Olympic standard qualifying qualify-ing score. Walk for Water seeks participants There will be a Walkathon from Alpine to American Fork in Bupport of the women who walk 40 to 50 miles looking for water. They may fill a container with water from a muddy puddle and then bring it back home. Some African women die along the way and never return. A local group is trying to make people aware of the need for these people to have a well so they can have water in their community. A well costs $18,000 to $28,000. Area residents are invited invit-ed to join in the walk this Saturday morning. They will meet at 7 a.m. Outdoor Family Portraits at Alpine Legacy Park on Main Street. Walkers may go any portion por-tion of the route. Trans-- portation back to the Btart-ing Btart-ing point, water and refreshments will be furnished.
