He was born Jan. 20, 1942, in American Fork, Utah, to Jack and Lillie Walker. She married Lloyd Hansen on May 8, 1970, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Beth grew up in Pleasant Grove and attended schools there. She was employed by the Alpine School District in the Ednet Program and worked several years in the banking industry. Beth had a great love for antiques, spent many hours tending to her flower gardens, and X f Billie Jo Quails Billie Jo Zimmerman Quails, age 39 of Lehi, died May 8, 2003, in a Salt Lake City hospital hospi-tal following follow-ing a cere-b cere-b r a 1 aneurysm. She was born Oct. 20, 1963 in Provo, Utah, . daughter of William L. and JoAnn Williams Zimmerman. She married Michael Wayne Quails, later divorced. Billie Jo attended schools in Lehi. She had worked at Pykettes clothing manufacturing manufac-turing for two ' years, National Semi-Conductors for eight years, and was f v w, La Anthony J. Ferkovich Former Lehi Chief of Police Anthony Joseph Ferkovich, Fer-kovich, age 86, died on May 8, 2003, in Lehi, Utah. He was the son of Josip and Anne Sabin Fer-k Fer-k o v i c h , born May 20, 1916, in Bingham uanyon, Utah. He was a graduate of West High School in Salt Lake City, and also the Police Academy. He married Ardith Goates on January 5, 1940. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served as a secretary in the YMMIA and in the presidency of the Elders Quorum. Anthony worked as an engine foreman at the Bingham Bing-ham Copper Mines and at Geneva Steel. He worked for the Lehi City Police Department for 11 years, and also served as Chief of Police. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family, for his love and generosity to his family and especially his mother. Sheldon was born December 11, 1908, in Cedar Fort, Utah, the oldest of 13 children born to Barnes Alma and Alice Adeline Ade-line Southam Cook. He was raised in Cedar Fort and married Phyllis Davis Cook November 17, 1939. They were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple March 13, 1946. Sheldon and Phyllis lived in Mercur, Lehi, Cedar Fort, American Fork and Orem. This last year Phyllis has cared for Sheldon in their home in Orem. She was at his side at his passing. pass-ing. At sixteen Sheldon left home seeking work to help support his family. He did farm work, mined and sheared sheep mostly in Oregon and Montana. He worked in the Mercur mines for many years and at the Tooele Ordinance Depot (Deseret Chemical) for 32 years. He married mar-ried Irene Myers June 23, 1978 in American Fork. He was a High Priest in the LDS Church, a scoutmaster, scout-master, and a committee member of the Old Folks. He loved camping, fishing, the outdoors, doing woodwork, wood-work, photography, genealogy, geneal-ogy, dancing and traveling.
