Carter Dies Suddenly Of Heart Attack Algeari Lynn Carter, 60, of 90 East 760 North, American Fork, died Friday, April 14, at Bull Frog Marina on Lake Powell of a heart attack. He was born September Sep-tember 8, 1917 in Provo, a son of Lynn and Laurel Mason Carter. He married Dorothy Irene Forbes on October 2, 1939 in Salt Lake City, and the marriage was solemnized solem-nized later in the Manti IDS Temple. Mr. Carter was reared and educated in Nephi. He began working for the Union Pacific Railroad in 1939, and moved to Caliente, Nevada, and later to Provo in 1941. He worked as a switchman and yardmaster until 1973, when he retired. Mr. Carter was . a member of the Union Pacific Oldtimers and the Whistle Stop Good Sam Club. He owned and operated the Sportsman Supply in Nephi from 1972 to 1973. At the time of his, death, he was a salesman with Appraise- Alpine Considers Zone Change For Industrial Grov4h A special public hearing that would create a zone change and allow industrial in-dustrial development near Main Street in Alpine will lie held May 3 at 7 p.m. by the Alpine City Council. The proposed development would be on 200 North west of Main Street. An electronic component assembly plant would be developed in that area by the Praxis Company. Ben Shippen, a representative of Praxis, told city council members a 20,000 foot building would le constructed con-structed as six in as the zoning change had been approved. The company would employ 300 people. If local residents opposed the plan. Mr. Shippen said his company would not locate in Alpine. "We feel that this will give the city a good tax base besides providing jobs for many people who now commute to Salt Lake City," Mr. Shippen explained.
