Show 7 A. PRESENTS COOKBOOK - Mrs. James L. Ellsworth presents a Bicentennial cookbook to Mrs. Calvin Rampton. Heritage Cookbook Presented To Mrs. Calvin Rampton On Saturday, October 18, Mrs. James L. Ellsworth, Vice President Presi-dent of the Junior League of Salt Lake City. Presented Mrs. Calvin Rampton with Utah's officially designated Bicentennial cookbook. "The Heritage Cookbook features a collection of recipes both old and new including exotic and unusual ethnic recipes plus a special children's section. Members of the Junior League of Salt Lake Lake City, Inc., a community conscious volunteer organization, have personally home tested, rated and considered consi-dered the 565 recipes submitted by some of Utah's foremost cooks and personalities, including includ-ing Dan Valentine, Bonnie Lake, I.ucybeth Rampton, Lucy Abravanel and Jackie Nokes. Excellent research has resulted result-ed in the delightful footnotes that begin each section putting fresh emphasis on some of the quiet and courageous people from many backgrounds who though perhaps not well-known have played a significant role in shaping the culture of Utah. The U.T.C. Offers Adult Driver Training Course, Begins Hon. The November driver training course for adults who have never driven before cr who do not now have a driver's license w ill begin Monday, November 3. at Utah Technical College at Prove. Utah law now requires that an approved driver education course be taken before initial issuance of a driver's license. The Utah Tech course fills this requirement. The course will begin and registration take place at 5:30 that evening in the driver training train-ing portion of the college, located locat-ed just inside the west entrance to the south wing of the college. The classes will meet daily 5:30 - 7:30 D.m. Monday through Friday. This will enable completion comple-tion of class work by the end of patchwork quilt, representing the multi-faceted nature of Utah's history on the cover of "The Heritage Cookbook" is from the lempie Square Museum. All publication costs have been met by the Junior l eague of Salt l ake and all profits realized rea-lized will be returned to the Community through the League's Lea-gue's Community Trust Fund. The book is available through the Junior League Flea Market 4-14 Fast 200 South, Salt Lake City, from League members and in many locations throughout through-out the state. the month.
