A famous manager of fh'e former New York Giants once said, "A hard loser is generally a good athlete." When making this statement, he did not mean a poor loser. He was speaking of the athlete who does not think lightly of defeat, and who will not stop trying when the odds are obviously favoring his opponents. When the fireworks end on the evening of July 4th, it will have only been the beginning of a real fun and exciting evening. Right after the fireworks bring your honey or come alone to the parking lot of Greenwood's Milk Depot for a toe tapping, shin-digging, shin-digging, old fashioned Western dance. "The Night-riders", a new western combo from Lehi, will provide the sweet music. At intermission, the now famous watermelon seed spitting contest will take place. The adult spitting spit-ting his seed the greatest distance dis-tance will win a big $50! Other cash prizes will be awarded. For prizes like this we're sure the sweet little old ladies of our town will even be practicing! Which brings the next exciting point to mind. Auntie Millie will also be taking time from her Las Vegas debut to make an annual appearance at the dance. We're sure you won't want to miss this one folks. There is a $100 charge to get into the festivities fest-ivities which have been sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Plan on it and we'll see you there. Hole in One Dr. Oral T. (Chuck) "Dalton got a hole in one at the Alpine Country Club on number 7. He was using a 7 iron at the time. Eldon Reese of AmericanFork hit a hole-in-one last Thursday, Thurs-day, June 22, on the 7 hole at the Timpanogos Golf Course in Provo. The shot was 135 yards and was made with an eight iron. This is the first hole-in-one for Mr. Reese. The credibility gap is when you give your girl a two karat diamond engagement ring that has the faint scent of Cracker jacks about it. I don't want to brag, but yesterday yester-day I bowled 300 90, 80, 70, and 60!
