Phillip Ervin Russon, 69, Alpine, Al-pine, died Sunday in the Utah Valley Frspital of cancer. He was born April 3, 1901 inSpring-ville, inSpring-ville, a son of George and Inza Houtz Russon. He married Hannah Hanson on Jan. 5, 1923, in Salt Lake Citv: the marrias? was later solemnized solemn-ized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. A really hilarious time was enjoyed as the guests arrived with nap sacks, beards, hair wigs, ragged clothing, and some garbs that looked worse than that of real hobos. Fun games were enjoyed under the ''rection of Mrs. Vane (Marion) Provost. The tramps sang several songs included in which was "Hallelujah I"m a Bum'. ..Serving tables were covered cov-ered with red and white checked cloths and napkins. Mulligan stew and all the trimmings was served to 25 present. Club booklets were presented ii the members. Those in charge of the fun filled evening were Mrs. Mae Bennett, president; Mrs. Kenneth (Inez) McDonald, vice pres.; Mrs. Ferris McAfee, secretary; Mrs. Rulon (Minnie) Winters, treasurer; trea-surer; and Mrs. Alex (Inez)Kar-ren, (Inez)Kar-ren, reporter.
