I Wi n l-to , MmMmmmfv Three Boys From Troop 18 Receive Eagle Awards at Scout Court of Honor EAGLE SCOUTS -Receiving Eagle Scout awards at Court of Honor last Thursday evening were three members of Troop 18, American Fork Sixth Ward. They are from left, Jon Adams, Max Dltlevsen, and Douglas Wilson. and Americanism awards. His hobbies are fishing, hunting, music mu-sic and sports. Douglas Wilson, 15, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A, Wilson. Active in Troop 18, he has served as assistant patrol leader, patrol leader, scribe and instructor. He attended the Maple Dell Scout Camp the summers of 1065 and 1966, and the BYU School of Scouting in the spring of 1966. Douglas was named a "runner up" in the Alpine Scouting District Dis-trict for the Boy Scout World Jamboree in the summer of 1967. Active in the LDS Sixth Ward, he has served a president of the Deacons Quorum and is at present president of his Teachers Quorum. Quor-um. He has always actively parti par-ti c i p a t e d in Primary, Sunday School and MIA. He is presently in the ninth grade at American Fork Junior High School. Last year he served as a member of the student council coun-cil as a room representative and in the spring of 1965-1966 he ran on the 440 relay team which won second and first place respectively res-pectively at Junior High Alpine Day. Three members of Troop 18, American Fork Sixth Ward, received re-ceived their Eagle Scout rank at the Alpine Scouting District Court of Honor held last Thursday Thurs-day evening, October 4, in the Stake Tabernacle. Achieving the Eagle rank were Jon E. Adams, Douglas Wilson and Max Ditlevsen. Jon, 14, is the son of Mr, and Mrs. Boyd E. Adams. He has been an active member of the Boy Scouts and has served as Junior patrol leader, patrol leader and senior patrol leader. He has also been elected to the Order of the Arrow and has attended Maple Dell Scout Camp. In his church, he has served as secretary and president of the Sixth Ward Deacons Quorum and has received three individual individ-ual awards. He Is presently serving as president of the American Fork Junior High School studentbody and has received certificates of achievement in scholarship in reading and in art. He was also a member of the student council last year at the school. Max, also 14, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ditlevsen. Active in the LDS Sixth Ward of the Church, he has acted as secretary first counselor and president of the Deacon's quorum and is now a teacher in the Aaronic Priesthood. He has earned two individual awards. In Scouting, he has served as troop scribe, assistant senior patrol leader, senior patrol leader lead-er and instructor. He attended Maple Dell Scout Camp the last three summers and has helped with community and conservation conserva-tion projects sponsored by his troop. He is a ninth grade student at American Fork Junior High School where he has earned a scholarship award, and athletic By Carolyn Heaton The Lady Lions held a luncheon lunch-eon at Jackie Hamnett's home with Marlene Bennett and Elaine Devey as co-hostesses. Ten were present with Autumn leaves setting set-ting the decor. Games and prizes were on the day's entertainment. Saturday at 7:30 p.m. a driss rehersal will be shown of both Alpine and Alpine Second wards road shows. This is sothechild- ren as well as any adults that would like to, can see the road shows. Wednesday, Oct. 18, all the road shows will be seen in the Highland Ward and only age 12 and over are lnvit id. Thursday (tonight) at 7: 30, Jen ny Wild, Alberta Bennett and Bertha Adams will entertain at the Relic Hall for the DUP. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Devey was the scene of a recent get together. Mr. and Mrs. Ranold Devey showed films on their trip to Hawaii and refreshments re-freshments were served to guests Mrs. Neil Carlisle, Mr.aMMrs. Dave Devey, and Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Broadbent, and also Mrs. Jean Carlisle. Every Monday at 7:00 p.m. an exercise class will be held at the Alpine Elementary. Mrs. Adin Brown was taken to the Utah Valley Hospital Sunday Sun-day where she was operated on for a detatched retna. Fork Hospital with pneumonia. Stanley Galetka has been in the American Fork Hospital and Mrs. Victor Vlklund (theformer Florence Marie Kolstad) has also been in the Am. Fork' Hospital for over two weeks. She was operated op-erated on Wednesday. Nelcell Devey left Monday to attend a four-day consummers institute at the USAC In Logan.
