Valley Chapter Writers f - - A delightful observance of National Na-tional Poetry Week was held Monday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Luce, Provo, Pro-vo, by members of the Utah 'Valley 'Val-ley Chapter League of Utah Writers. Wri-ters. Christie Lund Coles, one of Utah's most widely published poets, discussed poetry trends and markets, outlining the poet's obligation to the reader and to himself. Dr. Clinton F. Larson, faculty member of the BYU, discussed dis-cussed modern poetry and the emergence of poets 'as a voice of their times." ,. Favorite poems and original poems were read by those present, pres-ent, ranging from traditional to modern poets and from lyric poetry to light verse.
