A musical selection 'Peace I Leave With Thee was sung by six, Eighth Ward Relief Society members, Beverly Rhodes, ivian Barker, Beverly Haggard, Golda Gurney. Doris Robinson and Dolly Reese . Benediction was offered by Byron C. Monson and the grave in the American Fork City Cemetery was dedicated by Horace E. Monson. Pall bearers were Reed Beck, Jerry Townsend, Darren Town-send, Town-send, Jess Monson, Donald Beef and Max Beck. Flowers were cared for by the Eighth Ward Relief Society. Final tabulation shows stamp sales of $2,568.40 for the school year, with 79 bonds purchased by students. Each student who had completed purchase of Savings Stamps to fill either a 10 or 25 cent savings book received a special certificate and a bronze honor' award pin from the U. S. Treasury De-partment. De-partment. - Awards were presented by Mrs. Ralph H. Spencer, Savings Stamp Chairman of the Greenwood Green-wood School PTA. Mrs. Spencer has been assisted in the program by Mrs. Wayne L. Durrant, Immediate Im-mediate past PTA president of the Greenwood unit, and Mrs. Ual Marshall, new 1 y Installed president of the organization. Utah Guardsmen Super Camp . yt Slated June 13-27 A bloodless war that has been bottled up In armories around the state all winter will break loose with realistic fury here June 13- '27; The weekend war becomes a summer skirmish when 3,800 Utah National Guardsmen go to camp for two weeks of annual training. Dates for camp were announced by Maj. Gen. Maurice L. Watts, Utah Adjutant General. Artiflerymen, military police, linguists and members of hospital, hos-pital, Special Forces, ordinance, Army Band- and State Headquarters Headquar-ters units will train at Camp Williams. Utah Air National Guardsmen will perform their I active duty at the Salt Lake Airport. Air-port. About 30 Special Forces members mem-bers left for Ft. Lewis, Wash., Sunday to undergo counter-Insurgency training. Other Special Forces units have already returned re-turned from Ft. Lewis. Engineers will go to a road-building camp in September. Fork Woman Laid to Rest George Ernest Ash. 76, of Lindon died Thursday at 9:50 p.m. at the American Fork Hos pital following a long Illness. He was born Nov. 11, 1888, In Lindon, a son of George R. and Elizabeth Culllmore Ash. He married Katie Richards on Auguest 13, 1908. in Lindon. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Tem pie October 1, 1913. He was a retired butcher and farmer. Mr Ash was a Seventy in the Lindon LDS Ward at the time of his death. ' Survivors Include his wife of Lindon; three daughters and son, Mrs. Ruben (Ora) Adams of American Fork, Mrs. Emery (LyNile) Buhler of Roy, Romell R. Ash of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Lloyd (ReNee) Tomlinson of Pleasant Grove; 39 grandchildren grand-children and 53 great-grand children; brothers and sisters Mrs. Mae Gillman of Lindon, William of Orem, Maude Nel son of salt Lake City, Cecil or Noreman (Elva) Peterson of Lehl Eldon of Springville, Mrs. Wil liam (Thelma) Fackrell of Salt Lake City. Daughters Party and Installation Banquet, Monday, May 17. Theme for the evening was "Circus Time and tables were cleverly decorated to the theme with circus animals, balloons and carousel cakes. At each, place setting stood a" colorful ice cream cone filled with nut's and candies. Club president, Mrs, Harry McTague performed the duties of Toastmistress. Grace was of fered by Mrs. Tom Griffiths and Mrs. B, L. McFarlane read the Club Creed. Mrs. Ray Howes, anew member, mem-ber, was welcomed into the club and presented with a red rose. The program was begun with Julie Wight playing a piano solo. A girls quartet sang two selections. selec-tions. In the group were Mary Ann Ellison, Julie Searle, Denlce Argyle, and Maria Argyle, accompanied ac-companied by Irene Ellison. A tribute to the Mothers was given by Mrs. Howard Gordon and her daughters Linda and Jill. A humorous reading was presented by Ted B. Barratt.
