Show Two Am. Fork Girls Struck Dy Auto on Main St. Crossing Two 15-year old American Tork girls were injured Satur day afternoon when struck by a , car at the cross walk at 44 South Main Street in American Fork. Sandra Thomas, daughter of Wr, and Mrs. Eugene Thomas "of 370 North 6th East, Ameri lean Fork, suffered broken bones and bruises and abrasions and is still in the American Fork Hospital where she is listed in fair condition. Diane Hatch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Hatch, of 841 East 3rd North, American Fork, was taken to the American Fork Hospital where she was treated and released. re-leased. - -I According to American Fork Police Officer Joseph Mecham, the two girls were struck by a car driven by Raymond Emll , Dumas, 29, Rt. 1, Orem. The accident occurred at approxi mately 5:50 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. The girls were traveling trav-eling north across the intersection intersec-tion at the time they were struck. Driver of the vehicle which hit the girls was blinded by the sun, it was reported and did not see the girls until too late to avoid I hitting them. Sandra Thomas who is still; in the local hospital suffered a cracked vertebra in her neck, a fractured pelvis and a fractured frac-tured kneecap. It is reported that she is resting as well as can be expected and may be released re-leased in about a week from the hospital.
