Garrett Gar-rett on Friday, October 3. . The couple exchanged nuptial vows In Bait Lake Temple rites solemnized solem-nized by Elder Mark E. Peterson of the Council of the Twelve. The bride Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Noall Nixon of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and the bridegroom's parents are Mr and Mrs. Dean Robert Garrett of American Fork. A reception honoring the couple cou-ple was held at the home of the bride's parents at 1005 Canal on Saturday, October 4, from 8 to 10 p.m. The attractive, dark-haired bride was radiant in an original gown of antique taffeta, fashioned fashion-ed with long fitted torso, bracelet-length sleeves and bouffant skirt. The portrait neckline was accented with Venice lace. A tiara trimmed with pearls released her fingertip veil of sheer illusion, and she held an arrangement of pink rosebuds, white chrysanthemums and stephanotis encircling a white orchid. Judy Lynn Warnick of Pasadena, Pasa-dena, Calif., attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Jane Brunt, Linda Kay Brunt, Donna Holladay, Susan Adele Nixon and Suzzanne Garrett. Gar-rett. They wore full skirted turquoise tur-quoise gowns and held baskets of pink and white asters. Petite little Barbe Adele Nixon, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Standing as best man was Bruce Tidwell of American Fork, and Jim Richards, Robert Nixon and Jack Nixon ushered. Following a short honeymoon, the couple are making their first home in San Antonia, Texas, where Lt. Garrett is stationed with the United States Air Force. ' , s- The story of the human senses, "Gateways To The Mind," will be seen here on Thursday, October 23, at 6:00 p.m. over channel 4. "Gateways To The Mind," the Bell Telephone System's first program in a new series on science, will be seen here on Thursday, October 23, at 6:00 p.m. over Channel 4. It tells the story of the human senses and is designed to be both informative in-formative and entertaining for the entire family. "We normally consider there are five human senses taste, smell, touch, hearing and sight Mountain States Telephone Manager, Ralph K. Ryan said; however, this program reveals that there are at least fourteen. "It is through these senses that man maintains his contact with the world about him," he said. The first part of the program explains the operation of the human senses in providing con tact between the brain and the body. The second part shows how sonie of the sense organs function. The final section presents pre-sents some unusual experiments iii sense perception. This picture is the fifth in a series of science films sponsored by the Telephone Company. The first one was "Our Mr. Sun," which has been shown as a color film to over 130,000 people in Utah since its introduction over television. After the telecast the "Gateways "Gate-ways To The Mind" the hour-long hour-long film, in full color, will be made available for showing to schools and other interested organizations, or-ganizations, Ryan said.
